Hello Jamie, sweet and bitter song at the samedi Time! Nice interprétation ! Would U have any easy strumming pattern to play "when the ship comes in"? Summer regards from France... Rémy
My father has sent me to you. I'm a young adult who's been a little too attached on sitting and playing apps or video files for long enough. I began giving the guitar a try for a little over a month now with the assist of the DVD's from Silvertone, and my dad and I hope that I can expand the amount of strum patterns. I've watched through five new ones, as well as this very video and I'm saving the DDU-DDU pattern for tomorrow, and then give "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" a playthrough since that's the one out of the 18 that I remember the most. Wish me some hope! ;)
Looking back to 5yrs ago when I started playing guitar and remembering that you were my first guitar teacher is making me really happy❤. I wish I could meet you and appreciate, I'm your biggest fan from Nigeria❤️, thanks for being who you are. May God keep strengthening you and may you grow healthier. Big love for you ma❤️🫂
Jamie, Is this song in "drop D" tuning? I've seen other lessons where they use this alternate tuning as well as a Capo on the 2nd fret (as you are using). The only difference I see is the standard "G" chord is played as Gm7 from frets 5-7. Thoughts? Thank you for the free download music.
Thank you so much! I think I have these down. I still struggle to figure out which chords to play with the strumming pattern when I'm trying to learn a song. Any advice for that? Thanks!
Generally, you need to play the pattern all the way through, at least once. For some songs, though, it's twice or more. Rarely will you have to change in the middle of a pattern although it does happen some times.
Wow, this is perfect for people like me who are not musical, can’t read music and just want to learn a few chords, some strumming and easy picking. Even I could do this! 😂 I have wanted to learn easy picking for my favourite Amazing Grace. You are wonderful thank you and totally get it! ❤
