Yeah, it is. Nah, I'm good on that. I'd prefer raw copies for most books, if I can. I have some graded books, but have yet to submit anything myself. I do have a few I'm considering getting graded though.

That's dope. Those are some fantastic books. A good set to have together too. Can only imagine the hype about those stories when they were first released. I scored both in the last couple years. Not even sure I've shown them off yet.

That's what people kept saying at work all day. 🤣🤣 And thanks! I'm happy to upgrade and get the copy I truly wanted. Prices definitely dropped on a lot of books. Hopefully people collecting for the truest sense can get the books they want.
An amazingly cheap way to accrue worthless junk that will do nothing but sit in a closet somewhere or in the corner of the living room to be completely forgotten. Other than being a fire hazard.
I feel that. I'm switching to more graphic novels for certain things. Especially some events and miniseries. And it is cool to see nice displays of comics. Being able to look over dozens of cool books.
I've actually been planning to. Especially wanted to do somethin for my 10 year celebration. My schedule isn't the best for it though. But I definitely appreciate that and want to do more interactive content.
Hi Geno! Just stumbled across your channel. Love your comic book vendor coverage. I was planning on going to Emerald City for next year. Do you remember exactly how many comic book vendors were there? You mentioned there weren't as many as you hoped. I live in California in the Bay Area and we dont get as many good "Comic Book" centric shows.
Glad you dig the video. I can't recall how many there were. Wish I could help you better there. Part of it depends on what all you're going for. If it's strictly comics, I don't know if I'd recommend it for a full weekend. Worth checking out at least once though. There's another convention up that way that's gotten some love too. It's the Washington State Summer Con. Really? I'd have figured that area would be home to more shows and better dealers.
Bundle 2 was great, of course, with all of that X-Men. I'm not familiar with many of the books in Bundle 1. Do you have luck or success with mystery packs?
They're mostly misses. I like the fun of it, but I won't invest too much into them. The other ones I want to check out are the ones from 2nd & Charles. So at some point, I'm gonna grab one of their boxes.

The cover art is so great all of these. I've never read The Twelve or Supernovas, though I've always wanted to read the Twelve. Have you heard the news about the QR code deal with X-Men books? What are your thoughts on that?
I read that time period of Supernovas when it first dropped. Good read and creative team. I never all the stuff connected with The Twelve though. I've been reading all about that QR code nonsense. It's one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. Definitely gonna have to share my full thoughts on it. I can't even imagine the conversation they were having where people thought it was a good idea.
@@GENOTALKSCOMICS Agreed. It punishes people who purchase individual issues which, I'd think, would be the last people you'd want to punish given how much they support the industry.
Amazing pick ups man especially the silver age and the first Black Cat🔥 bonafide always has incredible deals!! That Batgirl 25 is probably my favorite cover from his run Middleton is so good! Those Spider-Man, Daredevil and Captain America books are awesome I remember loving the identity crisis storyline back in the day! I can't wait for next year's heroes con I'm definitely going to be more prepared and actually write down the books I need to fill in the gaps in my collection😂
Thanks! It was a great shopping experience. And I'm definitely planning on going even bigger for next year's show. And I know you mentioned keeping track of what books you have and need. You should check out League of Comic Geeks. They have a free service for cataloging with a website and app you can sync. I've been using it for years. It's been great, especially since they overhauled their app a few years back. And you can even download it to an excel sheet.
Nice haul 👍 I really want to get the Truth trade. Technically I had his first “appearance” in Wizard Magazine (yeah I’m that old 😭) but I gave it away to one of my friends.

Thanks for checking out the video! That's part of what I like to do with my convention coverage. Give people a good look at what conventions can offer, in general and specific cons. Do you have any smaller, local cons around you? I like those for finding good deals too.
Yeah, I did. And I was tryna sum it all up for people. Seems to have done the job. Oh, it's just some notepad app I found. There's probably dozens upon dozens of them. They're handy to have. I could've and should've gotten to talk to more creators, but got so caught up in everything.

I spotted a few copies throughout the weekend and made the decision I was gonna make a deal on one and happy I did. It's highly likely I will score a #2 this year as well as complete the run of reprints. But that #1? Yikes lol.
Yeah, I started doin that years ago because I stopped taking a lot of books to get signed, but still wanted somethin cool to have. I've been hitting my ASM run heavy this year. Still plenty to go. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for the kind words. It's much appreciated. I try to capture a good look at cons when I go. And people seem to be digging the footage. And this wasn't anywhere near all of it. There were so many more dealers with walls and booths full of fantastic books. Absolutely a comic collector's dream space.
