Hey :), thanks for clicking onto our channel! Here are some mental health awareness videos hoping to change negative attitudes and challenge stigma, and others that we made just to have to have fun too! We're known as Becky, we're 30 (physically) & live in Yorkshire, England. We're diagnosed with DID, complex ptsd and more issues that were still working on beating and understanding. We've struggled with mental health issues since early childhood and have experienced things such as trauma, psychosis, dissociation, DID, self harm, hearing voices, depression, addiction, anxiety and PTSD. We are not qualified in anything other than Voice Diagloguing and Mental Health Awareness Levels 1&2 formally so please understand that although we've lived this a long time and our videos are to tell ours (and many other's) stories in the hope of promoting better understanding and awareness of subjects such as mental health & addiction, we are not qualified professionals, merely "experts by experience".
The orphanage was bought/funded by the ROABs. I just saw my old house (at 7.20 ) next to Royal Stables, also was part of Grove house and owned by Samson Fox, (hence the weather vanes being foxes) The circles were flower beds originally! Way way back before any houses were built it was an apple orchard, and well witches used to do rituals in apple orchards, our house had weird stuff go on too. I live in the South West and well away from it now lol 😂 😂
I lived in a house near it up till i was 18, just saw this come up on my feed. Quite a busy road, Skipton road is the busiest in Harrogate! Going on the roof of a building, especially in the dark would be very dangerous, you don't know the state of the roof! Probably is haunted, as during the 1st & 2nd world war it was used as a convalescence home for the forces. My Uncle and Cousin were in the ROAB (Royal Order Of The Buffalo's (Buffs) and one cousin worked in the offices , I don't think there was any sacrifices there they did charity work
I'm finding it hard to focus or remember much so far. Currently in my second hospital, on a section 2. Coming in was a blur. I am secrioned, but I am also on a ward. I can't leave, but there's a little outside space. Right now, I'd be scared to leave the ward anyway. I know I'm a danger to myself if i leave. Tough time so far. Anyway, hope you're doing ok now.
I'm sorry you're struggling so much that you needed to be sectioned. How are the staff treating you? I'm sending you a gentle hug if you'd like one and wishing you well lovely ❤️.
Lol, it's all good, it hurt a lot less than it looks like it did thankfully :P. Happy new year to you and yours and I hope it's a good one for you, cheers for the continued support too :).
Ayyyy good to see you again, I hope your year is starting off well? Wishing you all the best for it anyway, cheers for the regular support on the channel whenever we finally upload something. You're helping us keep interest in it and it's always good to see you've commented so thank you :).
❤️ love the emojis, thank you for the continued support, you're an absolute legend for staying a member all this time! Big up to you and we hope you're staying safe and well 🙏.
Hey there :)! Thanks for checking in on the channel :). It's a new video from this morning actually, back in hospital but it's being easier to manage ward wise and it's definitely safer than home rn. Missing Titch a lot but she's safe and being well looked after. The chickens have been a great outlet for all of us and my little ones adore them even more so than I do! We're in charge of looking after them for the Occupational Therapy team and we've done well so far I think :). (They're still well alive, fed, watered and safe so I think that's a win!) We're hoping to get some new real content up soon but have money issues getting a decent editor and mentally we've been way too exhausted and overwhelmed to manage doing videos but we've all got some ideas and we're wanting to get back into it for sure. Is there anything in particular you'd be interested in seeing on here :)? No worries if not, I'm just curious as to what people would like to see next. We're planning a video on how to get mental health support within in the UK, showing how to go from no help to working with various teams and agencies as it can be hard to know where to go and who to talk to to get appropriate help. Other than that we've been hoping to re-upload our Neil Breen videos he struck down, I don't think he liked me calling him creepy in like 20 different ways x'D. I think they'll need re working but we were super proud of them and want them up again, especially as they were fair use, I just didn't understand it enough at the time to fight the strike. How are things with you? It's really lovely to see you comment so thanks again, your support for us and the channel is greatly appreciated and valued. Hope all is good with you and sending peace, love and safety to you :).
@@ltamha I'm really good ta 🙂 and glad to hear Titch is being looked after well 🐶 I'm really interested in that big house you looked round a few times and did you ever work out the disappearing garden ? Stay cool and safe Becky 💪💐👍
@@MrVxrman so glad to hear you're doing well man, that's awesome :). Never worked it out and now they have security and dogs after it was turned into a care home. Gutted I lost the chance to look round again but I may put a hi viz on one day and pretend to be lost just to go nosey at it again. That place genuinely scares me though, the atmosphere and weird shit that happened all 3 times I went kinda creeped me out. If we go back now we're probably the idiot in the horror movie who runs back into the house instead of going to safety :P. The first time we heard men whispering "she's over there" and then footsteps towards me. I thought I'd been busted so walked towards one set of footsteps as one set was circling me, to be like "sorry my bad, I'll leave", but no one was there at all. You can bet we RAN from that place that night, our camera was glitching the whole time so didn't get the footage we thought we had which was gutting after it all sounding so loud and close just for there to be no one and then not be able to show proof. Is all very odd! Maybe I should go back with a friend, that might be safer...I have 2 hi viz jackets for a reason ;D.
You should be treated with respect and given a good life or be able and allowed to work for it not too hard of course....with freetime to for enjoyable summers of activities and nice cycling seeing sights and no horrendous people bases.
I agree, more things for the patients do is always needed on pretty much any unit and group activities like gardening can build community and self esteem in people as they see progress from their own actions like a seed growing into a healthy plant, or cooking a group meal and eating it together. The issue comes when you have more problematic or difficult patients who take over or intimate the others, then group stuff can be totally ruined for everyone else. It's a balance and every single day on a ward brings new dramas, problems and emotions for the patients AND staff. Going walking is great for patients, or cycling too, as you say :). The better wards tend to have nicer grounds so even sectioned patients can get outside and move about about a bit. I knew a lady who would jog around the smoking courtyard as she wasn't allowed to go anywhere off the ward or grounds and that's the only space we had. It was a tiny box of a courtyard but was a respite from the ward and non smokers would pick it up so they could go outside regularlyon the smoke breaks. Now it's totally no smoking all over the grounds and some places don't let you bring tobacco or cigarettes in a will keep them until you are discharged. They don't even give you them if you're going out on leave which is daft to me, it's not like you're gonna smoke on the grounds when you shouldn't be if you're literally going to town or your own home on leave. Mad but I got told its to stop access to lighters as the ward we're on rn had a fire in the men's unit due to a hit who was very ill getting a hold of one. Thank you for your thoughtful and supportive comment :)!
I got sectioned once on section 2 it was difficult as one time wanted to go to art therapy downstairs of the hospital off the ward but still was in the hospital they actually hadn’t been able get a spare nurse to take me there they did look closely that previously did attempted to admit myself in hospital just some time was ended hovering over a road zoned in and out psychoses I remember seeing a police car I actually did try get in it at back seat to get off the road realised I stood in middle busy road no idea how long I was stood dancing in middle road. I requested hospital after was resting in clear cell at station they took me I was sectioned 2 I was allowed to go down to art therapy specialist circumstances. I did attend art therapy also did returned to the ward it was ok. I hade card for nurses there and made gifts for other few patients too. It was fine.
Sorry you went through all that but I'm glad you made it out the other side and that the admission was relatively okay. It's good to hear some wards are decent as all the ones we've visited have been very badly run. The one we're in rn is a lot better after getting m rid of the old staff and the new ones are a lot better mostly so that's a plus. There's not a lot of trauma awareness in the wards near me despite them apparently receiving training, so that can be very difficult. I wish you all the best for the future and thank you for your comment :).
I was soo scares when i got areested and took into hospital to get metally assesed by the time the phyciatrists got there i was out of my mental break down and ready to say anything to just go home as i knew i was going to be sectioned as my carer told me what they will do if they need to so i lied to my back teeth and i got away with just having to go see phyciatrist and metal health workers but it kinda scared me tho incase i said something wrong 😑 was not ment to be i got so lucky
Bless you, the police picking you up when you're ill is hard enough, nvm getting sectioned by them so we're glad you didn't have to go through that and that you were safe afterwards. Be good to you and all the best for your future :), thank you for your comment too.
Haha thanks :P. I've beenvery tempted to go back but would I be the idiot in the horror movie who runs TOWARDS the danger instead of gtfo x'D? I think I will go back sometime though, let's see who I can get to join me haha. I think I've an idea, she won't be too confident doing it but she's an awesome friend and we have good banter so we'll see what she says ;). Maybe if I pay her in double decker chocolate bars... and wine, definitely lots of wine. Thanks for the comment :)! Are you getting on okay? I know things have been difficult in so many ways for lots of different people, so I hope things are going as well as is possible for you.
@@ltamha Hi Becky im doing good Thankyou 🙂 Drink the wine after you have been there though 😉 I also love Double Decker chocolate bars 😊 All the best 🙏🏻
I'm really glad to hear you're doing okay and thanks for the kind comments as usual :). I think you might be right about the wine AFTER going, the camera work and my legs could get a bit wobbly otherwise :P. I don't fancy another broken ankle x'D. I'm in hospital so if you have any ideas or suggestions of stuff to check out or react to (mental health wise or not) please let me know, I've nothing but time right now so you'd be helping me out haha. I'm in the process of writing the first video on a Bottom episode but I'm always looking for new stuff to watch and give a go :). Wishing you only good things and stay cool and stay safe of course!
@@ltamha you're fine, it's just these new score pads don't look like the old ones. But I finally figure it out! I was thinking backwards, as we play randomly instead of round 1 - yada.
Naw haha, thank you for commenting and checking out our channel again, really appreciate all your support :)! I hope you're staying well and stay cool and stay safe too :).
Nowhere near as much as before I broke my ankle last year but would love to get back into it :). Are you in the hgate area? I've been wanting to go back to the creepy af ROAB grounds. Every time I've been (3/3 times) I've had something bizarre happen haha. Think if I was in a horror movie I'd have been picked off by now, you NEVER go back to the haunted house if you wanna live x'D.
Not really atm. There's the ROAB grounds but that has workers about sometimes. Maybe the building site on a big house on Wetherby Road but not sure if that's still accessible. You could get in round the side I think. Do you know if there's anything cool at the gasworks these days :)? Trying to think of other places but failing rn.
We've never been told there's a 30% error margin in lie detector tests, and 30 is quite a lot . . No not 10 like you said, I heard 1 in three. But everyone treats that as proof, That's a lie , we haven't detected yet !
Welcome back again Becky 😎 A nice idea skateboarding and giving us a tour as well 🤗 That sky at 7.25 looked awesome too 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Stay cool and safe 🙏🏻 All the best 🍻👍🏻
Thank you man, we're always grateful to see a comment from you so thank you for the ongoing support! Yeah it was beautiful :), it's nice and relaxing to skate while it's getting darker and it looked lovely so wanted to share a mini explore. Hope all is going well at your end and that you've been staying safe (you're clearly still staying cool haha ;D).
Oh no haha xD, I hope you're doing okay man though in all seriousness. Go you for getting support for your mh, that can be a big battle alone, nvm with all the problems mental illness can bring, plus common issues like low self worth/esteem and people feeling they don't deserve help, are scared they'll be called attention seeking or are struggling to reach out. Again, big respect to you! If you ever need to talk to someone who may understand a little more than most please feel free to drop me a comment.
@@ltamha oh I'm not getting anything. They were crap. I discharged myself. Just gonna let things run their course one way or another. Loads of crap from childhood and when I was in the Army. 45 years of it. Getting bored now lol
Total respect! Decided to learn to skateboard at 45. Learning to push and fell backwards 4 times this morning. I swear the council are gonna charge me for the dents in the tarmac lol.
Thank you :)! Naw bless you haha, I hope you didn't land too hard! I'm so scared of slipping out, I'd rather fall hitting a pebble or something over that so you have my big respect back :P.
@@ltamha very hard as I'm over 18 stone. Scraped my calf and forearm. I've also torn my calf muscle while pushing and had to take a couple of weeks off and then I smashed my big toe. Basically I don't have a knuckle in it anymore. I'm gonna start recording myself and uploading it to my channel so I can see where I'm going wrong.
Oh bless you, it's defo harder learning when you are heavier, as a bigger person myself I can relate. I think you've done amazing to keep going though through the falls and pain to get better. Know your limits and just focus on pushing around for a while until you're feeling more balanced and confident maybe. I'm rubbish haha so I can hardly give advice but it's just what I've learnt over the years of stopping skating and then relearning it all again years later. The better you can get at pushing, the quicker your balance and muscle memory should start to improve in that regard and It'll become a lot easier after a week or two and hopefully you'll bail less often :). Keep going even if it feels hard if you really do enjoy it, skating is great exercise and you'll only improve and get more fun out of it over time. I've discovered I enjoy just riding around the streets in my local area instead of practising tricks over and over (though I do enjoy that side too, it's just fun to explore and see new things to try skate or ride over. Wishing you well with your progression and thank you for your comments :), I'd love it if you'd keep me updated and if you do film yourself feel free to share the links here and maybe someone can offer some words of wisdom :). You are doing a great thing trying to learn a new skill and especially at a higher weight, go you for pushing yourself and your body to become healthier. It's a hard step to take sometimes so I'm rooting for you! Stay cool and stay safe :).
