I found that it's connected to the barometric pressure as well, I can often tell when a storm changes the pressure. I experience symptoms of my fluid level increasing. I haven't been seen in years because I took control of my health. You have to be careful of everything you put in your body and on it. The medication made me sicker, so I weaned myself off of Diamox and all the other stuff. It's a few years since I have required a spinal tap and I have been able to manage my optical swealing. So drinking beet powder and coconut water has extreme benefits for helping with spinal fluid level control and other stuff. I also eat for my blood type, it is backed by science and not all doctors agree with it however, I found that it has given me a quality of life instead of having to have brain surgery and spinal taps a couple times a month. It doesn't cure you BUT it helps give your body the support it needs to begin to heal and manage itself. Also, there are certain herbs and supplements for brain health. Also, changing the lighting in your surroundings is beneficial, when I was at my worst I require lighting with a red undertone, the light had to be really soft. It still can't be crazy bright and staring at computer screens triggers symptoms, but I no longer have to have basically brown light all the time and I am no longer in the dark. Perfumes and other scents are triggering as well so stuff like lavender and peppermint are helpful. Lately, I have considered doing a possible dissertation on IIH. Someone definitely needs to do a mixed methods study incorporating the effects and benefits of natural treatment and the current medical options.
Hi Andi thank you for this follow up video. After trying GLI program's and only losing close to 11 kg, im finally going to stop being afraid and am getting the mini gastric bypass. I was afraif of the bypass due seeing alot of people woth many sideeffects long term. This has made me along wih a collègue getting it done, choose to do this.
Hi Andi I just watched your videos first of all well done I am thinking of having this done too I am wheelchair-bound when outdoors I think you have made up my mind thankyou
YES, for the masses, it IS. I was 247.5 lbs/40%+ bmi at 17 years old, my pants were 48x32. I ended up doing Atkins and lost 80lbs. Over the years I lost my way and gained some back, went up to 38x32 slacks. At 42, I now wear a 30-32x32, depending on the brand. Everyone I knew who got that surgery thought they were going to cheat the system, NONE succeded, they were just salty, being jealous of those with hyperthyroidism. They still ate and drank whatever they wanted and gained even more back. I carb cycle depending on training days and try to hit as close to zero carbs when carbs aren't needed. I did it without surgery and all the people I know who might not have done as great as me, have mostly kept it off over the years, vs those believing they could cheat the system.
Hi Andi. Good on ya! I really wish you'd stick to kilos because us Aussies don't understand rocks and pebbles as weight measurement. You started off at 199Kgs but what are you now? I too am about to undergo weight loss surgery being 125kgs and I want to get down to around 90kgs.
You are an obnoxious odious danger to the NHS Riera, and you have a reputation around those staff members below you. I'm sure you are a darling to your private patients, but some of us have seen the way you behave around NHS patients. I'm sure legal proceedings against you will not be far off. Have fun striking for more money, glutinous oaf.
im about to see my surgeon this friday for first time and hopefully will be having WLS about feb/march time, its awful that your brother thought it was the easy way out, there is nothing easy about losing weight especially with WLS......having to go through all the appointments and showing your committed to change, then the pre-op diet and a lifestyle change for life.....changing your life completely isn't easy.....i bet most people wouldn't get past the first few days of the pre-op diet before giving in......your amazing and i would love for an update on your journey xxx
Good on you love. Proud of what you’ve done. I’m about to have a gastric bypass hopefully February. I’m not hugely overweight but need to lose 25kgs which would get me to a great point but my target is 90kgs. I’m sorry, I did grow up using the Stones reference but it’s now so archaic, it doesn’t mean anything to me. But it sounds as though you’ve lost loads and you must feel wonderful. You certainly look fantastic. I’ll let you know how I go. Lots of love from Western Australia. X
Just got to this one year post op video. You look amazing and I understand what my journey may look like. The fills and how they may feel. The info has been invaluable and relatable. Still scared but also excited.
Hi Lisa I first saw your success story video in 2021 when I had reached a low point with my weight and remember just being moved to tears. I related to your struggles but was too scared of the procedure as I am the only parent in my children’s life. I have decided the time is right now and have booked the surgery for next month. Still anxious and scared but just want to do it now, counting down the days. Your story is inspirational and I take comfort in your success. I have binged watched your journey to week 42 so far. Can’t seem to find anything current posted from you but hope you are doing well.
