Maybe battleships return in some form, when railguns develop enough, so they could withstand multiple launches. Range and firepower would be immense. And because of no propellent or explosives, then danger of magazine explosion dont exist. Not only that, but also rail guns would be amazing against enemy missiles due to high speed, making interception much easier, and because railguns needs tons of elecricity just like lasers, they could easily mount lasers for small warhead interception.
