My channel is mostly about recording the sessions of my VTT games for my own benefit so I have a record of what happened if I need it, and so that I can relive the glory days of playing RPGs when I'm laying as an invalid in a nursing home 50 years from now or something. If other people enjoy watching them, or find something useful in them when prepping to run their own games using the same modules, then I'm glad it helps! But these definitely aren't created with an audience in mind.
If you have any questions about how I run my game, or what I'm running, or where I got the maps, etc, feel free to reach out and I'll be happy to share with you anything I legally can.
I thought this answer would be this foundry module: foundryvtt.com/packages/wfrp4e-ubersreik-maps But after looking there, I don't see them. I'll dig around and see if I can figure out the source. It's possible I just went searching for generic fantasy maps and used them, rather than Spittlefeld-specific ones.
Have to catch up. This the cubicle 7 version, very good. They are based in Balbriggan my home town. Hope yous continue playing long term. If your ever looking for a player im available
Love that there are people playing these older systems. Your older ADnD steams and this are on my playlists for those times when I need something relaxing, comfy and interesting to accompany my day. Haven't even had time to watch all that much yet because life keeps me busy but still its good to have that option for those rare quiet evenings
I grabbed his module directly as a zip from GitHub. I can’t remember if I modified the out-of-date module.json so it would load, or if I just plundered the maps and manually made new scenes with them. I think the former.
Are you using the module made by c stuart or did you do all the scenes and stuff yourself? I just got foundry and wfrp 4e and I wanted to run night of blood as a one shot for my friends but I couldn’t get the module to work on the current version😢
@@drplote01 Sometimes we arent as smart as we think. Which bothers me and afflicts me sometimes. Cool, im watching from the start so hopefully you might consider altering it by the time i get here in a few days, peasant.
Wow 3 years ago! How did you get the ruleset for FG? I'd love to play or DM Hackmaster 4e but could not find anything on Fantasy Grounds website about it. A few forum threads mentioned some people adding it to their to-do list but never went anywhere? But here you are playing it. If possible please let me know how I can obtain the 4e ruleset for Hackmaster. Thank you.
I wrote an extension for Fantasy Ground's AD&D 2e ruleset that implemented most of the Hackmaster rules (plus some other things). The options were mostly toggleable, so you could choose which things you wanted. forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/78/view I no longer maintain it, though, as I haven't used Fantasy Grounds in about 2 years. Another dev picked it up and has been working to fix any issues that pop up when new versions of Fantasy Grounds release.
@@drplote01 Thank you! I'll check it out asap. I know the guy that helped write a bunch of it and has written some modules for Hackmaster. Been chatting with him on X.
It's the "Player's Option crits and init, Hackmaster 4E, and additional automation" extension I wrote for Fantasy Grounds. I'm bad at naming things. It's here: forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/78/view As a warning though, I've been doing the bare minimum to maintain it since I switched to Foundry. I believe it still works, but at some point I'm expecting Fantasy Grounds to push a big enough update that it breaks it in a big enough way that I throw up my hands and walk away from it. There have been some other FG users who have offered to maintain it though, so who knows! All I'm really saying is if you use it, be aware at some point it might go out of date.
Sort of. I use a house rule where I do +0 for Tiny, +10 for Small, +20 for medium, +30 for large, +40 for huge, and +50 for gargantuan (though for H and G, sometimes I up it even more, depending).
@@jacobmcpherson1205 That one plus a bunch of other news ones made by /u/cloudscalation on reddit are on there now. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QbxWXLImauOUOneiqxTmyq4Jl3EGB7li
I am enjoying these - thank you for recording your sessions! fyi: Session 20 did not make it to the playlist, but the video is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E28cxpXe22s.html.
Technical difficulties with Foundry ended the stream early. I actually restarted it after resolving the issues and we had another 2 hours of play, and I am 100% sure OBS was streaming, but those 2 hours don't seem to have made it to RU-vid.
Hey there! I'm going to start running Arden Vul in November. AV is, obviously, an absolute bear to prep, hahaha. I saw the Dungeondraft maps in the video description, but I was wondering if you still had the Dungeondraft source files; if so, is there any chance you'd be able to share either those or a .dd2vtt export from them? You can use .dd2vtt files with a Foundry module to import a map and autogenerate walls. Also -- is there anything I can do to help out? I've been pulling the dungeon keys into Foundry through v10's journals and journal pages, and I already have the books extracted, both as items and as journal entries (I'm not giving players the contents of books because I'm not scrubbing ~190 books for GM-specific content). I haven't started into mapping yet, though I am pretty handy with DD and fairly familiar with modules in Foundry.
@@wyrmisis I have the Dungeondraft source files but they probably won’t do you any good without the exact same asset packs because they won’t open correctly without them (even I can’t open some of my initial files because I lost the asset combo they used). However, if all you’re really looking for is having the line of sight done, I could probably export my maps with line of sight in Foundry to a compendium and send that to you. If you’re actually looking to edit the Dungeondraft maps that might be tricky but I could try sending you the source files anyway if you want. I’m Sterno#8208 if you want to hit me up on Discord.
I and one other guy have created all the maps I use. They're available here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QbxWXLImauOUOneiqxTmyq4Jl3EGB7li?usp=sharing
@@zantharian57 I didn't do all the levels. They were a lot of work and I ran out of Steam. I just tried to stay ahead of the places my players were going, and they didn't spend much time on level 7.
@@drplote01 Sad to hear that, I get that it must have taken a lot of work, but its too bad you couldnt bundle them and sell them on drivethru to make it worth your time.
I created the maps for levels 1 and 3 (most of it... still missing the southern cave system), plus the topside pyramid, and another guy on Reddit created the maps for levels 2 and the topside ruins. I've made them all available on my Google drive here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QbxWXLImauOUOneiqxTmyq4Jl3EGB7li?usp=sharing. I'll likely be starting on level 4 maps soon, as the party seems poised to head that way next.
@@astyanaxxable Yeah. All the maps were made with Dungeondraft. I'm not sure about the assets the other guy used, but most of mine are from the Forgotten Adventures Dungeondraft Integration: www.forgotten-adventures.net/product/map-making/assets/dungeondraft-integration/
Yes, but I've only been putting enough in to stay ahead of the players. Right now I've got all of levels 1 and 2 done, as well as the cliff face and Arden Vul topside exterior and pyramid, and about 80% of level 3 (just missing some of the big caverns in the southern area). I've got all of the magic items, books, technological items, and most of the NPCs in there though. Hardest part is making the maps at this point
@@drplote01 I've been building it myself within FGU and was curious. I notice you are using hackmaster instead of AD&D with the 2e to 1e converter Mike made... do you find it better to use in game? That's how I'm doing it so far and the OSRIC ruleset I found that's about 99% complete. I'm loving your campaign btw, keep it rocking!
@@danielmason9465 I'm actually not using his 1e extension... I'm using an extension I wrote for Hackmaster: forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/78/view By the way, most of my maps are currently available here if you want to use them: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QbxWXLImauOUOneiqxTmyq4Jl3EGB7li?usp=sharing I don't have the level 2 maps on there since someone else made them, but I'll see if I can get permission from him to include them. Any future maps I make will get dumped in that same folder. If you want, feel free to hit me up on Discord either in the Fantasy Grounds #dnd_classic_2e channel, or just directly at Sterno#8208. I'm happy to share anything I've done, though some things like weapons and spells have been tweaked to match Hackmaster versions rather than 1e or 2e (in the cases where there are differences).
I made most of them myself, though the level 2 maps were made by someone else. Mine can be grabbed here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QbxWXLImauOUOneiqxTmyq4Jl3EGB7li?usp=sharing I'll see about getting the other guy's maps (for level 2) added to that folder
