In 1965, I drove my Mom, Aunt and my 3 year old Son from Lubbock, Texas to Lake Pome De Terre to visit another of my Aunts. We also took a side trip up to Lake of the Ozarks and happen to notice this Dam and took a tour. I was early 20s and now 80 and still remember parts of that trip and that Dam. Being from dry, windy, dusty, flat west Texas, I was amazed at the beauty of Missouri, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
+Mike Waisnor ha ha youtube sayed i had a music violation and was going to take the whole video if I didn't use one of there songs. This was a great interview with the Rader Guy. He has since passed away I which it would play like I created it.
i would like to know when the next time you open a gate all the way . By my count 2013 should be the five year make by this video date . please post so i could go and see this event.
Wow...I hadn't seen this in a while. The worst part is that we had to cancel the last 3 (best paying/venue) shows of the tour. Pretty sweet video though. Thanks Shawn!
you people could not party if I put it in a 5 gallon bucket and poured it on you , you people embarrass America , go collect your 401 k from HOOTERS or BENNIGANS and get the hell off you tube ! YOU EMBARRASS ME AS AN AMERICAN !!! DUMB ASS!
@haggiss39 At 8000 engine rpm somewhere between 15-16,000 propshaft rpm depending on gear ratio in the v drive im guessing they ran 92s most of the time cause thats what was in it when the guy that owns it now bought it so with 92's at 8000 engine rps it would be 15,360 rpms
5000 hp in pro mod! Lmfao try again! Try less than half that! 1800-2200 i crew for the guy that owns that boat now and we have ran a 7.98 with 1250hp and that is a big heavy top alcohol boat with a full tube chassis in it! 2000hp will run that boat consistantly in the 7s for pro mod....
I agree Joker -- that's when it's time for the guys with Grand Prix hydros to come to these flat water events and kick some serious ass! Put me behind the wheel of a 41 Apache on Lake Michigan in six foot seas, and that's what fun is all about!
We have run into these "Assholes" in Michigam in reguards to tractor pulling. We answer with "no entry fee and no prizes for winning " . A trophy is "money" in there eyes and the state wants taxes on that winning. The states are taking things to far like always.
Just to set the record straight...I had an inner ear infection and literally got no sleep for 2 days straight. I was exhausted...Oh and by the way, what the video doesn't show is that I DID continue on the tour after this talk....
@crapthisisalongusern Lake of the Ozarks! It's filled with piranhas, gators and poisones snakes. Its smell is reminiscent of crude oil. Each summer a very large and diverse collection of drunken white hookers flock to these repulsive waters of Missouri. There, hostile bunch of young men and previously divorced 40 somethings bring boats, then proceed to ride the boats, fight, drink, fish and fuck many drunken hookers in a given time. It's quite the experience needless to say.
