@@jram3237 I had the oil pressure sensor replaced. The alarm went off again twice, so I guess it wasn't the sensor for me. Just gonna drive it till it implodes 🫣
@@marinus86My problem was solved by changing the oil filter, I put the old one I had, fortunately I didn't throw it away hahaha, I've been without the oil pressure light for 3 days now, I'm going to order the original filter
Could be a few different things, oil switch, oil pump, faulty sensor or blockage with in the engine. Hard to stay without taking to the mechanic and checking with a pressure gauge first
Had the “stop engine , oil pressure low” signal coming up after I used a 0w30 instead of 5w40 oil. All I had to do is drain and replace with the 5w40 and the signal never appeared again
Omg I'm having the same problems and I have a 2012 Volkswagen golf not to many videos on this matter...I went and bought a oil temp sensor to see if it would help haven't had a chance to put it in yet would you happen to know what it could be if it's not that sensor....
i have the same problem too.. It come up only on after you drive the car for about 20-25 km in high rpm. And it keeps going on and off!! My engine oil level is correct. i even did an oil change in 5k kilometers to check if that will resolve this.. but still comes up. Have ordered a oil pressure switch now.. will let u all know .. the result once I fix it
@@user-vj8ql6ks8v it is a sensor module/ switch on the engine case that determines if the oil pressure in the engine is correct. In case of low or high pressure it will trigger an engine light on the instrument cluster.. Mine had gone bad.. Hence was showing wrong readings and triggering low pressure warning on the cluster..
Take it for long trips. The oil 5-40 gets watery and i think it sets off the oil pressure sensor. Thats my theory but there is another utube vid that states that the oil pickup tube gets clogged with gunk or little debris from years of use of vehicle.
I have the same issue but it’s not just the warning light. I can feel and hear the engine being starved of oil and I have to shut my car off. It’s not just the warning light. I’ve changed out the oil pan and gasket, pickup tube and 2 sensors. It didn’t fix it. I think it’s a bearing somewhere that’s starting to go breaking apart piece by scratchy piece. I’ve changed the oil countless time to possibly flush the grit out but it keeps coming back. I need a new motor. No biggie.
I have the same problem after driving for 10 to 15 miles I get the oil pressure low stop engine I think I narrowed it down to the oil pressure switch witch is located on the driver side of the oil filter housing I'm gonna replace it tomorrow drive a few miles I will post an update after
Same for me 2012 passat. Just had two oil pressure switches replaced for $200.. the light came back on as I pulled out the shop. No one can figure it out
My 2010 Tiguan does it too. I replaced the oil pressure sensor and it quit showing the warning for a year, now it's doing it again. It usually, happens after I get off the highway.
well in my case it turns out the car had been worked on before and the person that took the head apart did not assembled the DOHC correctly. the bolts that hold the housin to the head wore missing so i had to put them on there, pressure was lacking due to improper flow.
Mine is 2005.5 Jetta same exact code says stop oil pressure high engine off .... And I just replaced a new oil pan gasket because I was leaking oil and still the same thing 2 days later
I have the same issue with a 2011 VW CC Sport with manual transmission. It usually happens when I am hovering around 2k RPM and traveling at low speeds (in a traffic jam). I have checked my oil and found that it is at the correct level. Has anyone figured out why this might be happening?
