I’ve always used that same DC call. I use their teal call to. No need to spend a fortune on a call. We don’t get mallards here in my neck of the woods in Florida.
@@thor5446 no real spanking going on. I will say, we’ve used multiple forms of discipline and there isn’t one that works 100% of the time. When we have used “corporal punishment” as they call it, it’s alway a last ditch effort and it always worked. They’re older now and talking with them makes more sense to them. When they were 3-4, we often have to give them a love tap on the bum.
Your sister brought in the right energy to boost her sister's spirit up. I'm sure the baby felt that, too, and was ready to come in to join the party. Loved when she said "are you crazy? You thought I'll miss this?" The love between you both is strong and a joy to behold even in a 30 sec video.
I'm pretty sure the event was supposed have all its focus on mother and child... not mom's sister. I dunno... maybe I'm misreading the expression on mom's face.
Hey thanks for watching! We live 12hrs away from our family so I was super surprised and happy when my twin sister surprised me!! It’s just the boost I needed!
no name no last name LOL....the women in labor and the dark haired that arrived are twins. The one in labor had no idea her twin sister was coming from Mississippi to Texas to surprise her during the labor.
Man, how are you doing those cuts and clucks? I cannot for the life of me get that sound out of it. If I do, it ends up being more like the putt alert which I do not want to do. Can you help me understand how to do it? The call instructions do not help
bresan79 ....thanks for the compliments. The best way for me to explain the cuts, I put the tip of my tongue dead center in the back of my two front teeth. From there I shoot air over my tongue as if I were saying “tick tick tick”, but with as mu h pressure as you can but also without using your vocal cords. From there I know my highest volume and then I work my way down. Its kind of like your making a chicken cluck/cut but don’t use vocal cords, air only. I’ll get home and see if I can explain my yelps. I will say this, last season and this coming season I am 100% sold on the Toxic Orange Ghost cut call by Woodhaven. I have a video of that also you might want to check out.
Yes Jase does sound really good, but you do a really good job of explaining each call. His and Joel's video can be confusing if you don't know what a Woodie sounds like. Thanks.
Sean Engel it took me a few hours but I’ll do my best. The hen and drake call I do 1st is based on the pressure and speed of air blown into the call. I increase the pressure and cut it off really fast to give it that “whip” sound. That is the most common sound. I make a feeding mallard sound (tooka tooka tooka really fast) to make the clicking sound. The others are pressure based and how you squeeze your hand to cut off the air. I hope that helps. I have a few other duck calling videos if you scroll through my page. Good luck out their.
Awesome story! Kinda cool that it wasn’t filmed and you told the story, let my imagination run wild. Looks like an awesome piece of property you’re hunting, Iowa is a magical state for whitetails. Good luck this fall!
