Devenish is a small wine distributor in Maine run by Ned Swain. We focus on small production wines that taste like where they come from. The videos here give deeper glimpses into the wine world and what we're passionate about.
Quite absurd to say that traditional wine is not made by people who are not passionate. Natural wines taste like vinegar. I have tried to like them, really tried, but tastes like ass.
Interesting method for gradual harvesting to maintain balanced acidity & body for the blended Trebbiano/ Malvasia/ Canaiolo Bianca. So if it’s not orange, is it amber then? This must be in Tuscany
after the interviewer was in awe........ and shocked to see , how a wine barrel can have this secret door knocked down, he then asked the wine dude, 'so where's the wine i'm supposed to taste from these barrels?'.....wine guy replies. 'oh......i durank it awl"......................'please, come see my record collection.'
It did! Well, a little bit. The point is the barrel is 150 years old and he's still using it every year to age wine. It has it's own ecosystem of bacteria inside that keep it functional
That's the whole point. The barrel is 150 years old and he still uses it every year to age wine in. This is a video of us opening it up and preparing it to hold wine for that vintage.
