"Imagine if you will, a place called the United States. A once great empire, now being torn apart by culture war and division. Both sides think they are right and that the other is wrong, no middle ground is ever shown as a place of solace on the state-run propaganda machines, forcing many into a subdued state of dread and hopelessness. Now, we shall see how it all plays out...in the Twilight Zone."
_"A brief epilogue for concerned parents. Of course, there isn't any such place as the gingerbread house of Aunt T, and we grownups know there's no door at the bottom of a swimming pool that leads to a secret place. But who can say how real the fantasy world of lonely children can become? For Jeb and Sport Sharewood, the need for love turned fantasy into reality. They found a secret place in the Twilight Zone."_
In the description, I noticed that they didn't give the name of the outro episode. I had to do a little searching because I didn't recognize it and didn't remember an episode where the characters interacted with Rod. The title is A World Of His Own, season 1, episode 36.
Submitted for your approval, the once humble writer, now equipped with a timeslot that in his eye, requires his appearance in front of the lense. The storyteller with aspirations of grandeur now equipped with a platform which can edit his peers work and make and cost him many friends. Only today, Mr. Serling will be informed that his show will continue in a one hour timeslot. The kind of hellish test he would normally concieve for the Twilight Zone.
The entrance I loved was when the maid gets thrown down a huge flight off stairs and it is revealed that she, along with the rest of the butlers and maids are roberts. As they march in unison off screen, the last oke to appear was Rod Serling. I cant remember the name of the episode though.
Irony is when Rod Serling tees off someones story and plight. But as we saw in the Outro at 4:16, even the immortal Rod couldn't always escape uncanny irony!
The unseen pilot of The Twilight Zone was narrated by Westbrook Van Voorhis. Rod Serling wanted either him or actor Richard Egan to be narrator but neither was available. Orson Welles was offered the spot but wanted too much money. And that's why Rod Serling became the tour guide to The Twilight Zone. 👾
Pure genius. A man who seen a lot then decided to give something to society to not only ponder upon but to help them think deeply on topics that can affect them societally, personally, and even beyond the realm of reason. The Twilight Zone was a great gift given to many generations by a truly great visionary, Rod Serling
*Rod comes out to narrate* Me:"Hey!!! wait a minute you died years ago!" Rod: "Or perhaps you are the one who died years ago." Me:😳😳😳😵💀👻👻👻 Rod: "A man who wanted to write an edgy RU-vid comment is now trapped in the void of wondering if this witty comment is gonna blow up or get lost in the sea of other comments...no satisfaction, no end...just sallow existence".....
