Thanks, I will. During this phase nothing is happening on or around Kay so there isn’t any thing new to video. I’ll keep the updates going, just not as frequently as weekly, more like every two to three weeks, until there is action to record. Please keep watching more to come soon I’m sure.
Will do, Thanks, She needs to be flying and going to airshows. She will get back to flying, it just takes a piece at a time… lots of pieces and lots of time.
Thanks, things will pick up soon. I’ll keep going out to the hanger every weekend to see if Patrick has made any headway. I will update as soon as he has a chance to let me know how it’s going. More to come soon.
Thanks, good point! More to come as soon as there is more action on “Special Kay”. Thanks for watching and hanging in there with the channel. It means a lot.
@@a26kspecialkay13 Well, the B-26 is my favorite WWII plane. I had the opportunity to crawl inside one that was based as a fire suppressor during the spring dry season in North Central, PA. They only got paid if the ship was ready to fly. It was, but the radios in it were crap. And we didn't have an avionics shop on the field.
@@i.r.wayright1457 Cool! We removed the original radios because they were so big and heavy. Saved a lot of weight from the rear of the airplane. Had to redo the weight and balance when they were removed.
Thanks CJ, things are slowing down because of the 100* temperatures the last few days/weeks. The hanger isn’t air conditioned as you know so after lunch time most of the volunteers head for home and cooler temps. lol Patrick is still working on the structure we need at his shop and we hope to get it soon. The GoPro (Thanks Again) is still my main camera, doesn’t overheat and just keeps on going. Using my phone and Sony as B roll cameras. More to come soon…
Lefty, thanks for the update on Kay, sure appreciate it. Every little step takes us one step closer to getting that beautiful ol' bird back in the air. Glad to see you're gonna be helping out Bill on the Hollywood Bomber, too. Been watching HangaRatz for a long time, even before this project...what progress they've made!
Thanks, I’m glad you guys are hanging in there with my videos. I will release the next one soon, need to get more content. Good to hear from you, more videos soon.
Hi and Thanks for watching. I asked the 501c group that manages Kay. They had an online store but as of now it is down. They will bring it back up as soon as they can. I will let everyone know when that happens. More videos to come soon.
Thank You, and we are looking forward to se her fly again also. It is just a piece at a time but she will get there. Thanks for watching, more to come soon.
Lefty, thanks for another video. I really enjoy your videos. Between your videos and those of the Hollywood Bomber, it's obvious that the vintage flying museum is a busy place. Thanks for keeping us up to date!
Too bad hope engine is ok after prop damage. Seen a lot worse at nkp. Sat next to nimrods there. A-1 crewchief zorros. 69-70. Was on the line when they left in November. Black just like the zorros. Bet Vung Pao hated to see them go. As was I.
Cool, I do know there were A1Es and maybe A1Hs flying for a “Company” in those days, out of NKP. Perhaps you were crew chief? I’m not familiar with zorros. We are trying to get the wheel well back together in order to get the plane turned 180 degrees. Then we can remove the engine and send it out for evaluation. Thanks for watching, more videos coming soon.
Yes!!! I was with Kay in the 603rd SOS, If I remember correctly she was to go to the 609th SOS, but we were phased out before that happened. Thanks for watching, more to come soon.
@@a26kspecialkay13 The A-26 my Dad was on was stationed in Thailand now its outside Eglin AFB. He was 609th until they got shot down then he transitioned to OV-10 Broncos FAC for 23rd Inf Americal in Vietnam.
You are correct. Everything in the hanger flys, well almost everything. Because someone needs to get their aircraft out to fly, we have to move others out of the way. If we know in advance someone is going out, we try to get that aircraft moved to the front, closest to the hanger door. So it is always in flux weekend to weekend. Thank You for watching , more to come soon.
So very glad to have stopped in this past weekend. Great to have met you lefty and while I thought I learned a lot Saturday this channel content is fantastic. Continue to share your knowledge, passion and these birds history share is special.
Thank You for stopping by! It was great to explain Kay’s background to someone who was genuinely interested. The videos are coming out about one a month now that the repairs are slow. I’ll start more biweekly when things start gearing busy on her. Stay tuned and Thank You for watching.
Hi, and Thanks for looking and the reply. As you know it will be a couple of years getting her back to flying, but she will get there. It just takes time and a lot of work. Thanks for watching, more episodes coming soon.
I visited the Pima Air and Space Museum over the weekend and immediately thought about Kay and your channel when I saw their B-26K. Thanks for the update!
