We love a bit of Marella! We really want to go on explorer 2 as it was the ship I worked on when it was with celebrity. Love the chocolate on the pillow! That is a stormy sea! We loved Vista on Explorer. Oo we're going to Savona soon! We loved the towel animals too! Barcelona! One of our favourite cities. Great review of your cruise. Cheers 🍻
Hi, thanks for watching our video. Our suitcases were collected the night before (you leave outside of your cabin for collection by the staff at about 0100 in the morning). You then collect your bags from the quayside before you get on the bus. Items of hand luggage can also be left in the Squid & Anchor where they are checked-in and out by ship staff so are secure. We actually had just a small rucksack bag each and kept them with us for the walk to the cathedral.
Where did you fly to? Didn't understand that part. Prosecco is a good drink, like it myself. A balcony with a table and chairs. When cruising from say England when is the best time to go to say the British Isles? Towel animals. Livorno is in Italy. My late wife went to the leaning tower before we even knew each other. Did you do two ports in one day? I thought Emperor Napoleon was from Corsica. Does Marella have a casino on board the ship?
Many thanks for watching the video. We flew from Birmingham (England) to Palma on Tui airlines. The weather in the UK is always changeable even in summer so it can be a bit of a lottery of when to cruise. I would suggest summer months (July to Sep) would give best chance of weather. We haven’t complete a cruise of the UK so couldn’t comment further. We only visited one port per day and yes Napoleon was from Corsica which is where we visited his house. We didn’t visit the casino but there is one in the Indigo bar area.
You definitely wouldn't have gone through customs before collecting your bag in Palma. Customs need to be able to check everything you are bringing into the country including the contents of your checked bags.
