The Kimbell Art Museum, owned and operated by the Kimbell Art Foundation, is internationally renowned for both its collections and for its architecture. The Kimbell's collections range in period from antiquity to the 20th century and include European masterpieces by artists such as Fra Angelico, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Poussin, Velázquez, Monet, Picasso and Matisse; important collections of Egyptian and classical antiquities; and the art of Asia, Africa and the ancient Americas.

The museum's 1972 building, designed by the American architect Louis I. Kahn, is widely regarded as one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the modern era. A second building, designed by world-renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano, opened in 2013.

The room for such great in artistic and historical quality and big in size tapestries was obviously too small to observe them properly. Armor made it even more crowded. This was the first time when I saw a great exhibition compounded to fit the place and not to make it good for visitors. To see tapestries in whole and in parts, read the high-class provided materials needed time and place. It was hard to do. Some armor was positioned in such way that it was hard to see details. Kimbel has an adjacent room that could be used for armor display in this situation. Altogether that was a great exhibition as it is always in Kimbell! Thank you! P.S. I tried to find what is “The Museum Box” and couldn’t, a mystery!

Maybe we could not hear the audience well, or they were all sitting on pegs to keep them in their seats. I truly appreciate your passion and humor making this lecture bearable, even enjoyable. I love everything about all of this art, I just have trouble listening to those who think they know all the answers. This speaker was easy to listen to! Very clear, and artistic. I wonder if he writes books. Point is I appreciate a good story teller. Before I sound gay, I will digress.

I wasnt thst impressed with this version of girls on a bridge after just seeing pictures of it. I thought it looked flat. However seeing it on your video ive changed my opinion its wonderful. You can really see the brushmarks and the paint much more clearly. It looks much better. My favourite version is the earlier one with the girl without a face.

He gets some specific points wrong. Armor did not cover every inch of your body. There are always gaps. In battlefield armor anyway. The plate of Agincourt was not balanced with the bow. Bows could not shoot through plate armor. Unless it was very poorly made. Great presentation though.

Very cool presentation. It's good to see these things being taught about, it would be cool if you produced videos solely for online as an extrapolation of these in-person presentations

Lovely compilation! At @26:13 we are talking about the creation of the New World and the start of the Long Count in 3114 BC, which ended on December Solstice, 2012, a 5,125 year cycle that is exactly 1/5 of the Precession of the Equinoxes, and exactly 144,000 days long, or 7,200 cycles of the 260-day Tzolk' een calendar.
