Sura was a very cool specialist type of character concept, it makes the character feel like it came straight from dbz or other anime with ridiculous power levels with complex mechanics. How did we go from that perfect 1 shot obliterating punch KO that took a while to set up, to casting beams of light and looking like a priest in the process.
Mystery Illusion, Deadly Projection, and Astral Strike are cool spells that fill in the last bit of elemental coverage that Mage was missing other than Holy. Everything else is just upgraded versions of what Warlock can already do. I'll take Rock Down because Mages finally get an Earth AoE that combos with Soul Drain, but everything else doesn't really stand out as unique enough, and Climax doesn't help with that.
This is a class where I'm glad that they're just being given lots of Elemental AoE. Spamming Psychic Wave over and over again with different elements and different summons was so much fun -_- That being said, poison sucks as an offensive element in this game.
every 4th job skill is very low effort, they didn't give a shit about it. "Let's deal damage in an area", "Little bit of buff". There are no mechanics involved. Just deal damage mindlessly or buff yourself
At least the Shield half of Imperial has some risk-reward with Ultimate Sacrifice and Rebound Shield. Those skills will get you killed if you have bad timing but the benefits are worth it. A ranged AoE is also something the Crusader class never had and only the shield/magic side gets it as Imperials. There is literally nothing new about the Spear half of Imperial that Royal Guards couldn't already do with their Spear skills.
I swear, these new skills' visual effects are incredibly disgusting Even LoV has more intimadating visual and name Oh yes, and these new skills name are just so cheesy Lightning land ?? Pfftt
