Mr. Ritz. First, a BIG THANK YOU! I learned of the news while I was at Bass n Bucks in Wabash while looking at used barrels!!! I met Glen that day! I've had my Contender since 1981... Love it. 22. 44 hunter. 35 Rem. 375 Win. 45-70 A 6.5 Grendel is on the way now. Remember that almost all the rifle calibers used in handgun hunting really only shine when using ammo you make yourself. Your thoughts expressed on how important bullet selection is. Right on point! Handloads in my own 35Rem have killed many dear since Indiana opened handgun as hunting option. During this discussion when talking about shotgun only states my 20ga Encore barrel is a killing machine. These guys where so amazed when you pulled the old Contender out while telling the history of TC I couldn't believe you didn't have them try the trigger!!! Its one of the things I amaze anyone that sees my Contender, is how smooth and slick the trigger is! The Contender was my first TC. A Renegade, Hawken, 2 Encore frames and and 9 different barrels later I still don't have enough!!! Can't wait to see what's next! Thank You and your team!
As far as young kids huntn, I didn't get an opportunity to shoot a deer until I was 12 because my dad was letting my big brother kill a deer first. But because I had to wait and watch. He created a monster deer hunter by holding me back. I have no desire to let my 7 yr old son shoot one with a cross bow.
Absolutely love the episodes with Clark for the wind. I watch the ones all the way back in 2017. Really enjoy all the episodes!! Far as I’m concerned these are the most informational ones to me…. Just game changing.
iv had a few high points over the years i got a 40 s&w now for bear when i hike in the mountains looking for ginseng and morel mushroom or stumbling across a moon shiners camp there ok for what they are and they work for if your like me and you can't afford a Glock to protect your self its beats a pointed stick and stones in a fight lmao
I definitely don’t agree with y’all on the women. What’s it hurt to show a little skin or give a little tease every now and then. I’m not watching hunting content if it’s just a bimbo that has no clue what she is doing but I would want to watch more if she can hunt and was sexy .
Less then 20 that net 200 typical only 3 5x5 200" deer. In the state of wisconson james jordan johnny king both net 200" bucks. Or are you saying alive on the hoof? You cant say theres not one alive
Records are being broken because we have become oh so more able wildlife managers. From 1800s market hunting to early 1900s farmland expansion, wildlife was decimated. Sportsmen conservationists, and later private wildlife entrepreneurs, have in the past 3 to 5 decades started perfecting managed wildlife enterprise all sustained by, ultimately, hunting...
Interesting history of the T/C Hawkin. As the S&W Model 29, Dirty Harry movies, and the Quigley Shiloh Sharps, they became an iconic firearm. Owning a T/C Hawkin and the single shot percussion pistol now has a better meaning in my collection.
You guys just keep talking about Illinois and Iowa, we don't have any Deer in Indiana don't bother coming here. In my day the TC was the gun "Serious Gun Guys" all owned. It was the experts gun because they were such quality, and took personal care of their customers. I hope Gregg can bring that back. TC was a family business, but the shooters and enthusiasts were also like a family. I knew so many Bowhunters that wanted a single shot Contender or Encore as their hunting gun. They wanted the challenge of the one shot challenge. It was the traditional bow of the gun community. Ruger #1 was the king of the single shots, but it was limited in caliber choices, and you had to order one most of the time. The TC frames were in every shop. And TC's let you choose any caliber you could imagine. When you showed up to hunt with a TC people knew you were a serious hunter. And probably a handloader that had loads that shot into less than half MOA. I would love to see the TCR rifle as a high end single shot with ability to buy different barrels, they may be low run with custom orders the only option, but its the only rifle that comes close to the Ruger No 1 for beauty. It just has the lines of a classic double rifle from the side.
I have a T/C Dimension in multiple calibers. It is the most accurate and comfortable / ergonomic rifle to shoot that I have ever owned. I would love to see barrels in some of the newer more modern cartridges like 6mm ARC, 6mm Creedmoor, 7 PRC , 6.8 Western etc. The idea behind the Dimension and its simplicity for changing calibers was incredible! Great ingenuity. WELCOME BACK T/C !!
I hunt in south Arkansas for deer and everything he just said is true. We rent out leases and hunt them but the land is owned by a foresting company so you can’t see farther than like 15 feet into the woods so you go your roads and feed and your blind or stand and you just have to let deer come up and eat other than that your not gonna see a thing. The only open space we have is when they clear cut part of the forest for lumber. But that’s it this is so true I didn’t know it was the same in other states kinda funny.
I am frickin stoked! Best news I've heard since Ruger aquired Marlin! Huge fan of T/C! Bring back contender, encores and as far as muzzle loaders - scout, white mountain carbine, Seneca, flintlock Hawkin and renegade. Please!
Have 320 acres in the Flint Hills in Kansas (out of state), and I believe the way Kansas does it these days is great for not just the hunting but the aging of whitetail. Im seeing more and more mature bucks every year.. i do wish the state would give land owners a cull tag though.
Hawken , and the best one yet was the scout carbin best muzzeloader made period bar none no better gun then scout dont care what guns they come out with nothing better period
I have a contender from the early 80s. With the 21 inch 30 30 barrel, at one time a 28 guage barrel was offered. I missed this but would love to get one for my son , because I am not a fan of 410 , and 20 is too much for the original contender.
I picked up an original TC with 44Mag and 22WMR barrels, Burris optic on the 44, set of pachmyer stocks, original boxes and papers and wood grips all for $650. Felt like I snagged a good deal, looking to get more barrels. Something so indescribably cool about these single shots. Also have a blued encore, really looking forward to a .30-06 barrel but of course money is tight right now
To Mr greg Ritz im an indiana native and im 58 years old and a fanatic about TC may i come to work for you im dedicated and i would like to be a part of a Phoenix rising from the ashes please let me know
