i started playing this on stream yesterday and ngl, this game is very fun. your cryo was crazy. i saw a guy post a fire turret build and that was actually bananas, too. liked, commented and subbed so ill see you around. ggs
Great video. I like this game, but I don’t know sobethibg about it seems too slow. When I look at death must die, vampire survivors and the rest….its just to chunky. That’s what I wanted to say…it’s chunky. The speed and ability to see what’s going on needs some work. I know it’s not full release, but I think less weak enemies, more frame rates would do this game justice. The devs def hit on something with this rogue. No dungeons and dragons setting, just good old fashioned guns, bullets, and aliens.
@38 mins you ask "Wonder how we killed something this far away, or if we just left it." That was the first chest dropped. You intentionally avoided it because you didn't want to evolve your bat. Btw, I seem to get more kills when I am constantly moving.
One combo to try would be the Jester but re-roll until you get the Soul Drinker with the Juggernauts Bat Amulet. Actually, I think there are a few min max combos that might be interesting to try.
Love this game. I've already beat Picayune (the final boss) multiple times, and yet I haven't actually Flawless'd a single run (meaning avoiding every single damage from all 4 bosses (except Picayune)). And I used to be a part of the game's Discord server. (Edit: Oh, and I've also maxed out my Skill Level and reached Overdrive 3 [that determines the difficulty of the run], just to let you know. Overdrive, by the way, adds extra SP based on the highest Overdrive Level you've beaten.) (Second *Major* Edit: I'm hoping to give you more tips as time goes on, so that by the end you could educate me on how to get around things.)
Stacking Alteration Ritual is *really* worth it, especially with so much +duration. You're getting exponential returns there. In general getting upgrades on your master boons is a lot more worth it as it adds a multiplier to the level scaling. +1 of a boon at Master is worth a LOT more than +1 to a boon at Novice, generally.
You can spam use your dashes to move faster to shrines (there's no spawn penalty for moving fast AFAIK, based on people like Dex's videos), especially if you've dash recharge on attack like this build.
trying to get the 250 HP achi and for some reason, I keep failing...i stay at 190 hp and nothing. i died during the run maybe that s why It doesn't count
I think you are just not lucky enough on this run and actually the melee is not bad you can actually give a good AOE with melee and let the summon handle the boss
since you have like multiple slots and telekinesis to use multiple gun then you should take more powerful gun on your slots. You missed a lot at that part but keep grinding
i was waiting so long to see if he realized he could swap and upgrade the flying guns too. playing with 3LMG's made me so happy in my run when i finally got the perks.
Picked up this game because of your last vid. There's a thousand games like this but the little niche picks from youtube videos are great to get a feel for the longevity of rogue-likes.
you dident notice but you were on fire multiple times against tall mele dude and you set him on fire it was just not that obvious you were runing so fast fire had dificulty caching up ot you
I have to ask...you were low life for several minutes but casually walked away from multiple life drops while complaining you couldn't find healing. Hu?
haha I gotta look back at the run to see what I was whining about again as usual. xD but I remember that I actually saw those hearts and walked away from them cause I wanted to be all confident (more like cocky really) and tell myself that I don't need hearts. I think I was looking for healing that was not pickups? I gotta check
hey love ur vids im big fan and the fire ability was activating a lot its those orange particles coming off of u saw few enemys have it after u ran into the them the second boss did too.

This game is pretty sweet. I really like the weapons and the art style. My only gripe is the about the enemies. I think they're kinda lame. I'd much rather be fighting something interesting and respectable that makes me feel like a badass to kill. Not just random ass goofy objects and different things like that. It doesn't ruin the game by any means, but it makes it a little less cool than what it could be. Btw I think the parasites are really good for helping to kill the bosses. Cause they stick to them like glue and basically never miss lol. So that's just constant damage that they can't escape from. Game has alot of cool weapons though so there are alot of good choices.
Yeah I think the first run I randomly picked parasites and it just sucks the life out of the bosses making the fights so much easier. Agree with you on the enemies! Although I get the feeling it has something to do with the story. Like something to do with a memory or fear or nightmare that sort of thing. Gotta uncover the mystery!
@@bmanplaystv I think it is tied to the story, but I still don't like em. Why not just make the monsters in the story cooler? Almost seems like a cop out just to not have to put much effort into enemy design, but Idk 🤷🏻♂️. Maybe that's exactly how they wanted them to be.
If you're hoping for more menacing looking enemies, look into interacting with the skill on the skill tree that makes statues spawn on each stage. Very good effects that attract, very cursed creatures ;)

Pretty unique and compelling! Playing more of it and the game seems to open up more and more. Has that weird awesome combination of retro and modern game vibes
This game seems to be really unique. Aesthetically I really dig it. The retro vibes are strong. The late 90s 3D spinning graphics, the old school point and shoot open space combat system, the 8bit japanese RPG storyline with the corrupted memories, and the progression from normal text to becoming cyborg and viewing everything as code. Old school arcade combat mixed with detailed meta progression will make it addicting. It really feels like this game was made by a group of dudes that grew up playing different styles of games and came together putting the best aspects of what they loved to gather to make a great game on the cheap.
That last statement you said rings so true throughout the whole game. And now that I've played more of it, I'm appreciating the game even more. It seems deceptively simple but they seem to have carefully thought out every detail. Nice that they're bringing something unique to the genre too. A lot of other games are trying to do that and they seem to have come up with their own unique thing here.
Hey bro how's it going? Haven't saw ya since the God of Weapons videos from awhile back. I've seen one video of this game and I think it looks super cool. Is this your first time playing it? Also - 5:07 The first one you ran into was projectiles and melee attacks and the second one was smg only. So yeah, it was new because it was specific to your weapon and not melee as well.

Unfortunately they haven't updated the game til now I miss it. :/ Anyways yeah this game is deceptive! But very addictive and there's some complexities to it that really make the gameplay stand out. @@bmanplaystv Do you like first person shooter roguelikes? If so, then there is a sweet one I can recommend. Its super fun to watch and I'd definitely be around to watch you play it. Just lmk if it sounds interesting. You go through the map and clear groups of enemies, but with guns in first person. You can pick up new guns as you go and can even upgrade the ones you like once you get to the shop type room. There are tons of weapons from pistols to rifles, shotguns to rocket launchers. It's fricking sweet. I'll look up it's name if you want. I was just watching videos of it last night, but I don't remember what it's called.
@@bmanplaystv It's called Roboquest. Have you heard of it or played it? It's kind of like Gunfire Reborn if you've played that one. Or there's that new action packed slasher roguelike. It's kind of like brotato because you fight against waves of enemies and then you go to a shop in between rounds. The main difference is the fast paced gameplay though. You only have your one weapon and you upgrade it with different affixes and you get to choose an ability upgrade after each round. Then you can buy passives at the shop each round too. It's definitely worth a look if you haven't already. Anyways, just throwing out some recommendations. Best of luck to you and your channel! ✌️

I don't know if you noticed this but if you attack enemies over the floating XP numbers they get bonus XP. The first enemy will give you up to 100, but if you manage to kill a second one and get all his XP to go to the same floating number it will become something like 230, and I think with a third it ends up being 400. It's a bit tricky to kill the enemies in the exact same spot but you can really get the first few level quickly if you can kill those first little blue enemies in the same spot.
Holy crap how did you see that! Hmmm it sounds to me that a standstill build or at least one that doesn't move around a lot would benefit a lot from that mechanic. Hmmm I've noticed so far that the game actually has some standstill build leanings

It may have been nothing but a mythic dropped at 17:20. a visual or audio cue when one drops would be a nice addition. Even if it was just for mythic items.
Yeah agree with that. I think I did see that item drop though and saw hasted boots and just assumed it was going to be a duplicate of something I already owned. xD
I feel like half the bad rep summer and winter get is people going "oh this individual skill isn't a run winner, thus sucks" rather than "oh these skills are designed to work together".
