Bad luck :(((. Merde happens . How were conditions in Val D’or ? We rode their last year and loved it . I’m from Southern Ontario ... no snow here so time to make a road trip .
About 2 weeks ago the trails were not the great my buddy it a rock and fucked is snowmobile. It was rough but it should be better now if the got more snow
If you put the ice scratchers on yourself then Polaris should not warranty the damage. If the dealer installed the scratchers then the dealer should pay for the repair. Good luck!
At 1:40 you see the scratcher mounted on the rail, ahead of the torsion spring slide. When the sled hits a bump, the front torque arm moves the rail towards the back as the suspension collapses, and the tip of the torsion spring moves further and further forward as the suspension collapses. The tip of the torsion spring hit the SCRATCHER spring, which forced the torsion spring upward, broke the clevis pin out of the torsion spring guide/slide block and popped the torsion spring off. This was all caused by mounting the rail scratcher, much too close and in front of the torsion spring slider.
That is the rear spring . Bummer, it must have caught the track and spun around and pierced the cooler in the tunnel. What you saw leaking was antifreeze. Hope you get it fixed asap.
