I used to have a lot of respect for Henry Paul, Until he sued Hughie;s wife right after he died, for the Name Outlaws, what a Low Blow, Just like the Skynyrd Shit, it is all over Money, what A Shame........
Oh dear. Really dragging and slow - and where’s the power??? Compare this to what Jon Anderson has been doing with the Band of Geeks and this is uncomfortable and embarrassing. The shame is that both Billy Sherwood and Jay Shellen are impressive in their own right and, honestly, and Jon Davison is a decent enough singer (though, despite his younger age, doesn’t have the subtlety, grace or power of Anderson). The two things that are pulling the band down are, sadly, it’s oldest members: Downes is fine playing “Drama Line Up” songs but just can’t pull off the more technical Wakeman or Moraz stuff - at best he CAN approximate some of Tony Kaye’s playing - and, as for Howe, an undoubtedly talented, inspirational guitarist in his day but, in 2024, his “day” is long, long behind him - in order to even attempt some of the trickier guitar phrases he used to play with ease, he now demands that songs are slowed down to an insane degree to accommodate his lessening of dexterity. “Machine Messiah” shouldn’t be an ordeal, but hearing this…it is.
I was there, last Friday. Me and the wife travelled from England just for the Skynyrd/ZZ Top show. Blackstone Cherry sounded excellent, although we didn't see them (enjoying the Green Room). What a venue, and fantastic staff. Really made it worth putting up with "That Smell" (New York) for the rest of the week. NY has the same problems as London now - well overpriced, immigrants lying about everywhere and aggressive beggars and hustlers (including Topview staff) speaking pidgin english, dominating the urine and cannabis smelling streets. Native NY people are proud of their City - it IS a wonderful historic place - but it's on a very slippery slope regarding tourism for me.
I'm a huge RUSH Fan and areosmith would never give them time for a sound check . Geddy made sure they never treated any opening acts disrespectful. areosmith treated them like crap . They will never measure up to RUSH

My first concert was Aerosmith and Ted Nugent opened for them. I believe it was 1984 or 86, I cant remember exactly. Seen them a bunch of times after that and they never disappointed. What a career theyve all had and its sad they are done.😢
