Welcome to the martial arts site for Peploe Kickboxing Academy We have clips and videos from our personal collection spanning over thirty years of competitions and training..
Alfie and Pete fought all comers at the FSK and MAI tournaments. Karate, Tae Kwon do, Kung fu, Freestyle. Alfie crossed borders and fought for GB Karate with the WUKO squad. Pete was a Tae Kwon do fighter before. As great a fighter as Frank Brennan was, he never fought outside of the Shotokan style, so we will never know will we?
@@tanglewood777 I think I saw a video of that, But not Frank Brennan fighting? KUGB rules and a young Alfie. I also saw the one against the Mugendo squad as well I think KUGB won that one. I would have liked to see Elwyn Hall fighting in the open tournaments as well.
I took this video and I am not in it, now it is our 60th Anniversary of our Basingstoke Fairfields Carnival Hall this September.. As I have now been asked to put this video and all my songs and all my 1950s and 1960's'events and life story of recordings over the last 60 years to raise Funds for our N H S Basingstoke North Hants Rainbow Cancer Unit who have helped me by giving me Chemo Treatment in 2019. I am now going back to the Abbey Road Studio's as soon as I can get local sponsors to help take a double decker bus from our Popley Abbey Road car park with local musicians and children to record a song i am now writing about it. Now being a mixed culture Town and with the help of my Hindu friends who now look after our Carnival Hall we are putting a lot of mixed musical events on in September up to 2025. Hoping to bring Tears of joy to all those who have lost friends and relations since 2019 of Cancer and Covid. I want to give something back to my NHS Yours Faithfully Brian Romany Rye James God bless and thank you all.
@@ronpeploe Right... I think I may have been there. It was the first of a new tournament with a £1000 prize. It was a knockout competition with Lewis fighting a few times. He won the competition but I and many others felt that Reid should have won. I remember not being that impressed with the fighting. They did though in between the fights have displays with weapons and acrobatics which was something I had not seen before. Young girls with obvious gymnastic skills demonstrating synchronised fighting which made the event worth while for me.
@@amck72 couldn’t give two fucks to be fair but I’ve elicited a response from a shit stain so I’ve got under your skin which is a win . You’ve messaged me 4 YEARS LATER 😂😂😂😂 over a comment I made about someone who’s from where you live 😳GO AND GET A LIFE ..and don’t ever EVER type a shot comeback about steam cleaning a couch you wet wipe …it’s so sad it’s funny 😂👌🏻
Vitali Klitschko is still a legend despite this knockout loss. Let's not degrade him. Kick-Boxing was just not meant for him. Even the great Muhammad Ali lost an exhibition match to a wrestler.
@@ronpeploe I did not say you were degrading him. Nor am i saying this video is degrading him. What im saying is we should all consider not degrading him in general based on this knockout loss.
Vitali tried to lie and say this never happened until people pulled out the tapes. No wonder he became a politician if hes going to make bold face lies like that its the perfect career.

Despite his reputation for being an animal in the ring, most of the footage I have seen of Alfie he seems to be a very respectful man. The glove touching, shaking hands pats on the back etc.
Sewell was an oddity, to have that speed, flexibility and timing at his weight class was amazing. He had all the Taekwondo kicks in the book and could hit hard, but he never matched his hand technique with his excellent leg technique. Tony never went into K1 or hard core full contact, but to be fair in his prime, the circuits were still relatively undeveloped. Would have been interesting to see, wonder where he is in 2021.
Yeah, nobody could stand with Sewell in his time, he had such excellent Taekwondo kicks and speed for a heavyweight, and he could push hard. Brewerton was top guy in the FSK, but no match for Sewell, If these two had of gone full contact in the ring, Brewerton would have been wiped out early on. Sewell was the best heavyweight martial artist in the UK for years, good to hear he's still teaching today.
