Greetings from Monster Hobbies in Canada (One of your customers - ask Tim. ) This stuff looks good, like dyed plaster. I like how your Razor Crest model is going. The paint on there looks like real metal. Now you just need an Ho scale McDonalds to put by the Razor Crest for the episode where the Mandalorian got hungry.
Thank you .I have seen these paints and I was trying to figure our their usage. I appreciate the instructional videos that you put out. I buy most of my supplies with Mega and will give these a try.Thx Carl C
Revell make their own thinner for Aqua Colors aswell. It's good for airbrushing as it contains thinner, as well as retarder. The tip won't dry so fast on your airbrush, which is common with Aqua Colors on larger models, like 35th scale or 32nd scale that require a lot of spraying time. I like Aqua Colors on smaller models. For bigger models I use Mr. Hobby or Tamiya, still the best paints around imo.
Hi, so with the email color you just use the color normally and when you done you dip the brush in the color mix? Aren't you supposed to mix them together?
Very good videos, and easy to understand, even for people who are not americans, I think it's very important, an english clear for everyone in the world.
Lacquer thinner is not good for true water based paints, like revell Aqua and Vallejo. Lacquer thinner is better for alcohol acrylic paints, like Tamiya, Mr Hobby, etc.
@@richardbrown8789 you can thin, for airbrush or brush, with tap water, revell aqua color mix, VMS Airbrush Thinner 2.0 acrylic or other any universal water based thinner. The revell mix has already a retarder, what is good. Otherwise, if you want to thin the paint in the pot for extend it, i would use destilated water or revell aqua mix. I never tested IPA, water is chepear.
Impossible stuff to airbrush. Iv used revell auqa color mix & it was terrible 10 mons my gun blocked up. Iv put tamiya paint retarder in the revell & I think it helped
Im having big troubles with their own thinner. Aqua mix. It dries up too fast and turns into sludge in the container of the airbrush. Can someone please help me? I tried it all...1:1 2:1 3:1 ratio...wirh water only, with aqua mix only...blend with water and aqua mix....same thing. Went to the shop bought new paint. Spared well for 40-50 seconds...same happened again...anyone?
@GuitarTherapy144 me too. Iv bought 2 different looking bottles Aqua mix & colour mix, both made by Revell both don't work. Iv tamyia paints & there thinner, that turns paint globby. All you need is 99% isopropanol alcohol. It works with tamiya, revell & Humbrol paints if isopropanol dont cut your paints buy a different paint brand .it's all you need as a thinner it's really general purpose
I like car/truck kits but I wouldn't buy ICM until they offered 1/24 - 1/25 scale to match my other car/truck models. They have a bunch of Model T variations in my scale, some OUTSTANDING historical 1/35 vehicles, cars and trucks, but not my scale. Five kits in a series about the Chernobyl disaster (1/35). Some fascinating historical kits, well-detailed.
Thank you for this video. I have a lot of these paints but have not tried airbrushing with them before as last time I thought about it I got the "turns to sludge" thing happen when I tried thinning (with Vallejo airbrush thinner IIRC) and got too frightened about wrecking my airbrush. I might try again now!
Thank you for the demo on Revell paints..I’ve got a few and just paint with them and they work well..But I will now try airbrushing with them..Thank you again..🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
These product overview style videos are REALLY good. I'm not totally sure why, but as someone new to hobbying like this, it's hard to find quality videos that can highlight and explain a lot of these things. My only complaint is that I enjoy them so much, that I sometimes wish they were longer! The explanations are great. The video showcasing the differences in Eduard's lines of products was especially helpful. Keep up the good work! I hope there's more to come. I'll be watching.
There is also a 4th type: Overtrees. It's a plastic kit with no decals. Sprues only and sadly Eduard sells them only via their own shop, so you can't get them anywhere else, unless from second hand
