Automotive related content and How To videos focused on 4th generation Firebirds and a 6th Generation Camaro SS. Videos centered around Track Days in the 2016 Camaro SS and lots of content maintaining the Firebirds and upgrading them.
Have a 24 SS1 and was looking for something better than the OEM wheels. I was drawn to the SW's exhaust axle backs also. So, thanks for your review, even if it was 2 years ago. My concern has been wheel offset with aftermarket wheels. I didn't want spacers. I guess concentric rings are needed for AR rims for my app. Along with new lugs. I can reuse the TPMS sensors on the car. Mine came with the magn ride system which is awesome. I just didn't want to ruin the feel with too different of an offset. The wheels you chose look great. Glad you do track them and understand the ups and downs of an aftermarket wheel set up. Hope your still getting smiles per mile.
Close to 200 large, but the special floor, fancy bathroom, we over did the insulation a bit. You could probably do something similar for $150kish but who knows building costs keep getting crazy
Does anyone know, how to reset the speed limit sign? Like mine use to work now it doesnt show the speed limit it’s kinda like two dash marks inside that box, do I just need to cycle it or is it more of an issue than that?
Not 100% sure but I saw in some facebook groups saying that if your onstar package thing expires, it won't give you the speed limits anymore. I believe some people get a couple months free of onstar with the purchase of the truck and then after it expires it disappears.
Did you black out the bose speaker emblem? What did you use if so? My 2024 Z71 gives me error messages too for the wireless charging. Adaptive has been perfect so far. If I signal to the right, when I finish the turn and the signal switch resets to neutral, it will sometimes signal left. But! Been great otherwise lol
Yes and no, little kids use them, I use them to clean the car, my wife finds them annoying. So I would say it’s more for looks, kids and accessibility, but not great for adult feet.
the scope of the garage implies that much nicer vehicles will be inside than what actually are lol.. don't get me wrong I love an F-body but usually this kind of setup yields an old Porsche or Ferrari or something
I got a 2024 it is a very nice handling truck. Took it for a trip to Seattle went well. After driving that far we had to get out about half way. I'm 75 have to stretch my legs. The seat did get uncomfortable after a 8 hour drive. I think that would be normal. I'm having a hard time with all the electronics not used to that stuff. I got all the safety stuff to being older. I actually learned so stuff by watching you. Lots of things to have to do to drive this. Might be a little much for me. I do love the truck.
To many issues with these trucks and no support from GM. GM supposedly sent a engineer to look at my truck and i was hopeful it would finally get fixed. Unfortunately he just pencil whipped saying everything is good to cover their butts from a BBB report I made. Took the truck home and started recording. Nothing fixed still same issues. So guess it will be his word vs my recordings and the hundreds of other people with the same issues not to mention their is a stop sale for one of the issues. Will never own another GM product in my lifetime nor will my children. This same thing happened to my neighbors grandfather and now you have 3 generations who have never or will never own a GM product
Sadly GM went away with gas hood struts and replaced with a manual hood props. Every new car should come with gas struts. Plus the gauge cluster doesn’t fill the whole screen. Be nice if they added a physical speed cluster like the previous gen
I'm curious to learn if the Blind Spot Indicators on your Colorado were randomly turning on despite no vehicles on either side, and whether this update may have corrected that issue as well? Thanks for this video, BTW.
@@ringnjc My son in law just had the latest update applied to his infotainment system last week. The "phantom" blind spot indicator issue didn't go away.
What's crazy is that GM's long term plan is to drop Apple CarPlay and Google's offering and force consumers to subscribe to GM's proprietary system. But who would want to do that if they can't provide a reliable system now?
Agreed. I had a Blazer EV reservation but dropped it as soon as I heard that news and got the Colorado. Lyric and Hummer still have it for now. I suspect they might reverse course
Thanks for the info!! Great video! I own a 2023 ZR2. My truck has been in the shop for 8 weeks straight cause the turbo went and there’s no parts for any of this truck it seems. But before I brought it in in Dec for the turbo, I had all of these issues too. So good to see they might be fixed. I’ll ask them to update before I pick it up. Whenever that will be.
Don't buy! My 23 Canyon with 3700 miles needs new axles shafts due to TSB-23-na-208 (rear whine at 50 mph) Been waiting on parts for a month! Run away! GM sucks!!!
This is common with all first year vehicles. It is surprising they don’t catch more of these issues before they go into full production but I see it with all brands, some worse than others. There must have been a bad batch of axels from a supplier.
Nice and easy customization, thanks for video. On my zr2 it seems like no sound comes from that speaker when I put my hand over it, is it just a “vocals” speaker I’m wondering.
Glad I found this. Had my bird since new in 98 and for the last 10 years or so been driving around with the volume light out. Irks me to no end but didn't know how to fix it!
For the fellas who ordered their Colorado, Once the dealer took delivery of your order did they attempt to mark the truck up? In other words did anyone had to hassle the OTD price? I really like that lift, I wish!!! Lol
I love my Colorado. I ordered mine last October and took delivery Jan5th. I just got the Trailboss in Tint coat radiant red, got all the trailboss packages, the factory 2 inch lift with the 18inch rims and 33 inch GoodYears. The only thing I was disappointed with was the inability to get leather. So I took it to an ulposter specialist and had him make me a leather interior.
Biggest problem with all this new tech is our wants or more than our needs ! Whats wrong with just reg cruise control ! All this tech just brings some problems ! Stay a bit more basic ! Problem solved !
I haven’t had a problem with the bulbs from these guys yet, but I’ve probably only put 2k miles on the car since I did it and maybe 30% night driving. So small sample size. They also don’t dim very much. I would consider switching back to incandescent for better dimming.
Most people will never drain their differentials during ownership. Also, You should try to pick up the truck with the rear lift arms at the forward leaf spring perch. Thanks for sharing the video.. Looks like GM went to electronic parking brake with the 23' colorado/canyon?
Thx for the recommendation, I’ll look next time I lift it. Ya, unless you’re doing serious off roading, towing or track day(not in a truck) you’re probably right differential fluid should last a long time
I live in Phoenix AZ & I’m thinking about either this model or the ZR2. Do you think this Z71 with the 20’s would still be ok off-road on some easy trails? I’m not looking to rock crawl, just looking to get out into some rocky trail terrain for hiking etc. any idea? Thanks!
