All I wanted was a compilation of a trip from Worcester to Liverpool and back again in 2010/11. But all I have to see is just Google Maps of it. Don't you have any channels with footage of a trip on the M5 from the very past?

Sadly no, we mostly travelled up to Liverpool at night to avoid the traffic & my camcorder at the time was not very good in low light. I do have videos from 2012 but at the time it was very difficult to upload long videos to RU-vid due to poor internet speed & I think they were limited to a maximum 15 minutes video length too in the early years. Large uploads would usually crash so I would have to divide the uploads in to smaller sections. @MikeFairman , I would have seen all of those streetlights in action before they were even replaced mostly from Quinton Interchange towards the meeting point of the M42.

Editing before posting? I'm not sure what you mean. It is edited before posting. It is 2 hours long consisting of 4 or 5 4GB files that need to be stuck together which I do using PowerDirector. This is just part of whole day of travelling from France to England. I don't waste time with text, commentary, music, special effects, sponsors or asking people to subscribe etc it is just joined up raw footage. It is all there as per the title 'driving from junction 31 to junction 7'. Nothing added or taken away 😊
It smelt of drains. The cabin was ok but we have noticed that they don't seem to be cleaned as well as they used to be. Probably trying to cut costs. The previous cabin (which was over night) cost £109. The toilet wouldn't flush & both soap dispensers were empty. Both cabins looked dirty too. Not very good for the prices they charge.
I'm from Ireland, but when I was younger we used to holiday in Bridgwater every summer and this motorway journey on the M5 brings back so many backseat memories, haven't been back in the area since 2012 but seeing the Morrisons Depot at J23 always indicated that we had nearly arrived
We look out for the Morrisons depot too. We're usually on our way down to Plymouth to get the ferry to France. It's a long drive & we are always looking out for familiar landmarks especially on the way back.
Millie is slightly smaller & has more white around his neck. He is more playful & runs about a lot. Polly is slightly larger & her ginger fur is a bit darker. She tends to sleep a lot & only plays for a minute or two before getting bored. To tell them apart from the front Mille has a white stripe running from his nose to the top of his head whereas Polly's stripe is a lot shorter. We normally feed Polly on the window sill or in the kitchen & Millie on the patio wall, although they do sometimes steal each others food. Sometimes Polly won't eat outside if Millie is there & we then have to fed her inside. Polly is at the start of this video looking a bit tired & then eating her food on the windowsill. The next shot is Millie is being fed on the patio. Hope this helps 😊
I have watched the video back on my phone & 55" TV & can see the night scenes perfectly well. It is strange that I only get negative comments from people who don't actually upload videos at all & they certainly don't appreciate the time, effort & money that goes in to making them. I have uploaded 13,483 videos on RU-vid since 2006 & yet you have only left one comment on my channel, a negative one, thanks for that. Don't forget RU-vid is free apart from an advert or two & most content is uploaded by amateurs like myself. May I suggest that you go & find channels that you do actually like the content of & support them by leaving nice comments & liking their videos.
Not much to see really, we decorated the kitchen about 9 years ago when we had the log burner fitted. The hall was painted in 2011 & the bathroom in 2012. The other rooms haven't been touched for about 30 years. Most of the furniture is 2nd hand & old. The whole house needs modernizing. We might get it done one day 😊
She probably hurt it kicking me 🤣No, not really, we had been doing a lot of mowing, hedge cutting, weeding etc & she probably twisted it. I usually end up having the same problem too, must be getting old 😊
Normally they just use a single traffic cone with a red flag sticking out of the top. I like their temporary traffic lights with the timer display on the bottom counting down 😊
We are driving through the old part of the village & some of the properties are empty or are holiday homes. There are newer houses nearby in the village & people tend to want to live in those. The area would have been far busier years ago with farm labourers & their families. would like to have a ginger cat before I die. Just had a lady gave me a tuxedo male cat last week that she had been nursing back to better health. She took him to the veterinarian a few times to get blood work and shots and anti biots shots and treatment. I never had a black cat or a tuxedo cat. They are the most affectionate and loyal and loving cats. Now I will take him on Wednesday morning to get his catatude manhood removed and make him a sissy cat. 🤣He is really loving and will rub his face against your face . Never had a cat like that and always wanted one. He is also a talker that tuxedo cats are. My one male cats fought with him twice for a few seconds before I pulled him off of him because he is not neutered. His urine smells horrible in our litter box and I scoop it out as soon as I find out and put it in a plastic store bag that we get with our groceries and throw it out in our garbage can outside our backdoor. I never knew male cats urine smelled that bad that weren't fixed. How cold was it the nigh before you left? and how warm during the day?
We used to have black & white cats too & then they left as our new neighbours at the time had three dogs. We didn't see any cats for 4 years until 2 of the neighbour's dogs died. Polly turned up shortly after. The second week the temperature dropped & we had a bit of rain. It picked up on our last two days & was nice again. Around 18-20℃ during the day & about 10-8℃ at night.
Even in the summer we can have cold days & nights. Often when the sun is shining we can get a cold breeze from the north & the temperature drops considerably. One of the reasons why we always go for 2 weeks is because you can guarantee at least one week will be cold & wet
We don't have much choice now as they seem to have reduced the number of sailings. We were hoping to go over at Christmas for a week but there are no Plymouth - Roscoff crossings available. The Portsmouth - St Malo route might still available but it too far to the house & not journey I would want to make in the winter. "Plymouth - Roscoff Winter sailings 2024/2025 We’re not sailing to Roscoff between 6 November 2024 - 30 March 2025. If you’re heading to Brittany, you can sail from Portsmouth to St Malo." Since Brexit we are not allowed to stay in France for more than 3 months so a 5 month winter trip is out of the question too ☹️
Yes, our usual trip to Rostrenen to do some shopping & then a quick stop at the church in Saint Nicodème to see what the local mass times were. Unfortunately the list had not been updated so we were still in the dark. There is a website we sometimes use but that can be unreliable too.
Thank you for this! I live in the US but come to Devon twice a year and take the M5 to Okehampton. I like watching driving videos as it gets me back in the UK groove! Plus a screenshot of the "Welcome to Devon" sign I can never photograph as I'm driving....12 more days I'll be passing that sign!
If you Google "M5 sign welcome to Devon" there are a few pictures of the sign online 😊 We probably won't be driving this route again until our holiday in Brittany which will probably be in May next year although there is a slight chance of us going for a week at Christmas. I'm glad I slid through to find the fire works at 1:55 and last 3 minutes. an hour and 20 minutes for the church scenes??? and no warning???? should have said fireworks start at 1:55. yipes. Not very good fireworks. 🙄
It actually says 'Mass in Breton' in the description so if you can't speak Breton & you're not a Catholic then it is not going to be at all interesting. It is only a small community & they don't have millions of Euros to spend on fireworks. I have already uploaded two seperate videos one of the bonfire & one of the fireworks. The bonfire video is scheduled to go public about now & the fireworks video in 2 hours time. The Breton language was frowned upon by the French government in France for many years, even up to the 1960s. To see a Breton Mass is rare, same as latin Masses in the UK. If I watched all these lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng videos, I would never get anything done in my home or shopping. People hate sitting through a long hollywood movie no matter how great it is like the star wars saga and the passion of the Christ and many others. There is a saying about your bum having to endure sitting for long periods of time. 🙄 sorry again.
Well if anyone does want to watch they can but it is not a legal requirement, not here anyway 😊. I do make shorter videos of the foxes & deer etc which usually get a few more views.
Same place, same roads, different day, different vehicles different weather different time of day. It is why I only video a street or road 1-2 times and that is it. I guess I can only compare it to having sex, the same way, the same day, the same time the same position the same effect the same sounds or no sounds the same looks the same smells the same tastes. Not one thing new but the lighting or room color or paintings. How long would that last? Old saying..."variety is the spice of life." Even serial killers change it up or modify their style. Sorry. I love the different ship and water videos. It's different from the duplicated road driving. I have no idea how anyone could watch your night time driving videos. What can you see but headlights and darkness. Do people really watch them or they do what I do lots of times...just give a thumbs up and then leave on to the next one to give another thumbs up.Unless your bedridden and dying with no tv and or radio. Portefields Road is actually a new one. Langdale Drive videoed 14 times, 3 in 2023, once in 2021, 4 in 2014 (7 year gap), 4 times in 2013 & once in 2012. Ambleside Drive videoed 7 times between 2013 & 2024. Tolladine Road 33 times between 2011 & 2024, it is a main road & I use it a lot. Nighttime videos especially the long motorway ones I have no idea why people watch them either. The stats do show however that they are mostly watched all the way through. I think it helps them to sleep 😊 I know what you mean & if I had the time & money to drive all over the world then I would but I haven't so I just do what I do. To see more varied content please send me 5 million dollars (or pounds sterling, euros etc) to help my channel grow (but to be honest I'll probably buy more vacuum tubes with it instead)🤣

I'm not sure what the law is now about flying drones. There have been so many complaints about them over the past few years over privacy & safety. They haven't really interested me enough to buy one & I don't have the spare cash to get one at the moment anyway.
reminds me of going to my nan and grandads house when i was little, sitting in the backseat with the amber lampposts and the dark night sky. man how i would do anything to go back.
