Don't start this by implying that it was about slavery..it wasn't. It was MOSTLY about HONORING the terms of the Constitution to which they had ALL VOLUNTARLY agreed to and trusted that the others would do the same and could in Thomas Jefferson's words "abolish their govt if it became repressive and form one that suits them better" and that is what the South did, they tried to leave in peace, but Lincoln goaded them into war because the north could NOT survive without the South....think about it and read REAL history...

Think about it a minor infection would most likely kill you. Yeah if it was up to us today. To settle the west we would have never crossed the Rockies. Those people were as tough as they come.
