I promised myself no more gear but the Echo Cinematic is now pre-ordered so I can make like King Tubby w/o have to patch up +4 effects .,. I'm excited and hope it ships soon!
Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "That Poly Cinematic thing where the chord catches the reverb and Kickain ducks the reverb" in terms of the patch? What's actually going on here?
There are two poly Cinematics, one with its reverb on full, being triggered periodically through a clock divider every few bars. The kickain is ducking the resulting wash of sound around the kick, so despite the large amount of energy from the poly cinematic the kick is always cutting through.
@@knobula_synths Thanks, that's awesome! There's no apparent link on the front page of your website directing to the Downloads section though. I've found updates for both my Poly Cinematic and Pianophonic now though.
absolutely spectacular ! been waiting for something like this for a really long time! everything right where it belongs ! like always , simple design fantastic sound and amazingly great for performance ! you know exactly what and how to create perfection!
Been having tons of fun with this module. It's hard to go more than a few seconds with it without stumbling into something cool. These videos really help unearth some of the neater features though.
Hi, I have fun playing with the buttons, but when I plug in the CV, I need to press the sequencer pad twice to change the button’s position. Any idea why? Thanks!
Are you sending the gate/trigger at the same time as the cv change? What happens is when you first press the pad the cpilot triggers but the cv is still changing from the old value to the new, the second time you press it it plays the correct button because the cv isn’t changing. It’s a common sample and hold problem that is difficult to solve without delaying the trigger a bit, or advancing the cv a bit. Not something that can be done in the module.
@@knobula_synths Yes, I’m sending both to cpilot. I’m fairly new to the CV world so I’m sure that would be the issue. I ended up using disting delay pulse algo for the gate. Thanks for your guidance
You can’t use a mono buffered mult to split the midi trs but it is possible with a midi splitter to play both synths at once. Better still, Poly Cinematic and Pianophonic will each accept a chord dump from Chord Pilot, this lets you instantly transfer all 8 chord presets into all 8 chord memories on each module, allowing you to operate them independently of a chord pilot. I’ll do a demo on our RU-vid channel shortly.
This sounds great, i'm interested in knowing what is poly cinematic plugged into here? it sounds like it's just a really nice delay verb but it can't be seen.
