Some of the comments are far too serious! It’s a comedy for goodness sake. And it’s not real! They are acting. A classic wonderful comedy that’s a refreshing change from some of today’s drivel.

They don't make em like this anymore. Very grateful to grow up with talent and quality skill like this on tv

Truly must be one of the very best programs ever made. The acting was brilliant. The physical comedy was second to none , Richard briers was absolutely superb , as were they all . I hope I can keep watching this on here for a long time to come. This is 2024 and I’m still loving it as I did the first time I ever watched them.

I was about 10 when this was on TV. Now at 57 it is better than ever. Sheer class. What a team! Amazing.

Brilliant writing, brilliant acting … timeless, sarcastic and relevant and sophisticated humor. I'm so happy that I can re-watch these here. Aside from home renovation/decorating shows and Brazilian soap operas, I've rarely watched TV in the last twenty-five years. There's nothing like this now - at least not in the USA. Most everything is total crap these days. No intelligence, no talent .. no soul. All that was here in spades.

I’ve watched this series over the years for sheer pleasure and only now learned Richard Briers has died. I am so sad and sorry. Sadly I too am suddenly really old. How I would love my life over again… even with all its ups and downs. Thank you Richard for all the joy brought to the world.

I last saw a couple episodes over 40 years ago, and am finally retired and fixated on this series. Splendid!

A police acquaintance of mine touched on this subject that burglars can become very irate if there’s absolutely nothing worth stealing and this kind of maliciousness can be the result. His advice was to always leave something valuable lying around (even 30 or 40 pounds) so they haven’t ’wasted their time’ and make a clean getaway.
