(SPOILERS) I just realized that when Karkat is launching towards Gamzee, it’s the same position he takes in [S] Game Over. I always thought he was trying to kill him in Game Over…. but man what if he was planning on comforting him.

Well, yes, but also no? It's actually probably more likely that this was a sort of jab at the fandom at the time - people kept bothering Hussie about the race of the kids, asking what it was - when the paper white featurelessness was _supposed_ to keep that ambiguous. At the same time tho, Hussie is white themselves - and let me tell you from experience that when you write a character without the assumption of race in mind....mentally, tho, they're probably just going to be the same race as you. So they're probably white. Hussie got kinda fed up with being bothered about it tho, and poked a bear with this joke.

A little detail that I noticed. Karkat's shooshpapping text is only lime when he paps Gamzee and Terezi, but not Kanaya If you split the castes of trolls into 6 lowblood and 6 highblood, Kanaya will be the highest lowblood and Terezi will be the lowest highblood. It means that limes' power to calm down only works starting from teal up.
