Very helpful video. I live in the DC area and we do get snow, but we also have an extended Autumn and layering is KEY! I also keep a quilted jacket in a neutral color for those minimally chilly mornings.
@@blufaerie oh hey! i’ve only been to dc once (in the 8th grade 😭) but it was during fall/winter time and i was not prepared for the weather lmaoo i learned quickly quilted jackets are a staple love me some neutral colors!
So, once again v nice video. It's nice to see other people's opinion on fashion. I have to say however, that our opinions differ this time. Mostly because I do like clowncore. Probably more in the gothic circus/horror creepy clown vein but still. And I do actually own 1 pair of boxer shorts (red and white gingham) that are just perfectly what I wanted. Wedge shoes I did own in high school (my feet hadn't exactly grown so maybe I should look for them) and I did like them. The rest though I agree on. Especially shirred sports tops, clean girl, polka dots & mesh shoes. Like; nope, nuh uh. Those things REALLY do not agree with me on any level. American flag tho, I have been a victim of this trend. And I do still have a shirt with it that I've bought in my teens. Also, I do unironically like the combo of red, blue & white. Though I suppose it's all more in that v specific "vintage americana aesthetic" way. Even if rn the thing I vibe with the most when it comes to fashion is gothic cowboy/southern gothic-ish/haunted doll-ish. Which is surprisingly not how I will decorate my new apartment. Because it will be stylized more in a dark cottagecore/witchy/lovecraftian nautical vibe. Still, I'm so excited for it. As well as my new job that I've finally gotten. But that is just a teeny tiny digression.
i hear that! thank you as always for sharing your thoughts! with clown core there are aspects of the aesthetic that i do really like, i think i enjoy more or the gothic/ darker hues of the trend. the boxer short trends are most definitely comfy, for me it doesn’t seem like something that would match my style. i see where you’re coming from, with some trends just not meshing you you or your own style, a lot of times when i make videos talking about trends im not fond of it’s really bc i don’t see myself reflected in them if that makes sense. i get the american vintage style especially if its in the gothic vibe that ive noticed you’re into! i feel like thats super interesting! congratulations on getting your new job! wishing you nothing but success and i’m looking to decorate my room more to make it a lot more homey, comfy and reflect myself so that’s something i want to get into as well!
Don't forget about those ugly horse hoof looking heels. The audacity to try to convince me they're cute😒 perfectly good outfits ruined online. Haven't seen anyone irl wear them
I be so upset bc I live in SoCal and we don’t get fall-like weather until end of November and then it goes from chilly to straight up freezing so I don’t get to every wear fall clothing it’s like summer than transitional fall then straight up winter 😭😭😭 I will never miss a fall inspo/fashion video bc I truly feel like I’m a fall girly at heart even tho I’ve never experienced true fall weather
yeah same here, we truly don’t get to experience the changing of the leaves, the orange/brown trees the chilly weather we just get hella rain and bitter weather
I definitely do believe that its also based on where you live/region because I live in hawaii, so the floral print & hibiscus will always be a big pattern here. But ig it also give off that “island girly vibe” which is why so many of the items directed towards tourists are floral printed, to give that “authentic” island feel. But us locals implement these patterns in many jewelry and its heavily influenced by native hawaiian culture, many flowers can have so many meanings especially if you decide to place a flower on your ear; this represents relationship status. But i do love your take on these it’s so interesting to see other people’s thoughts on this certain topic !!!
you are so right about that, since i stay in california fashion trends come and go so i was taking note on what i see. but you're not the first person to mention that and i appreciate the comment for when i make my next video to speak on different regions and how certain trends aren't actually trends for them!
i was thinking about doing a video on this concept of "temporary revivals" like the floral appliques and neck ties was so "old" until it wasn't and now it will be again... until its not lol
I think the flowers will always be back in trend but it will be different types of flowers. Couple yrs back it was roses, rn it’s hibiscus/orchid very tropical givi by island girl summer and eventually some other type of flower will come in trend. I love all your videos btw always getting inspo from you
yes i do agree with you, florals always trend around this time of the year regardless, but i do see it's always different kinds of flowers that are trending! thank you so much that super kind of you im glad you're able to get inspo from me <3!!
