Stunning, what I saw in Melbourne back in May was so much better than October's display. This however looks like it could be from Scandinavia! Jaw dropping work.
Cheers boys, moving to Taz for work in 2026 and now i know somewhere in hobart i can grab and after drinks kebab 😂 seriosuly tho so much info in this video. Well done
Appreciate you watching through! Feel free to reach out via email before the move if you have any questions - more than happy to help! We'll also have more Hobart content uploaded between now and then so check back occasionally for that! Recently found another Kebab location near Hobart in Blackmans bay called Kebab Station. A little drive from Hobart but worth it!
@TasmaniaUnearthed fantastic bud ill check these out. Can't wait to try some scallops, heard Taz has the best in the world. I'll glady give you guys an email with any questions I have. Respect bro 🙏
Heads up for anyone watching the kunanyi / Mount Wellington segment (7:18). Drones are not permitted without a permit from the Wellington Park Management Trust. The same rule applies in all National Parks and other reserves managed by the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service.
Absolutely! We have both lived in Tassie for all our lives and are both well travelled across the state, and across tourism as well - we would not recommend anywhere we don't think is worth checking out!
And of course the gorgeous historic town of Richmond which isn’t too far from Hobart Airport. The oldest bridge in Australia. An old convict town. You could go there on the way in or out. It’s so quaint.
It's definitely an experience for sure. Luck of the draw on how pleasant it is unfortunately. Some nights are perfectly calm, while others are more like your experience..
SO true. There were days in our childhood were there weren't any roadworks, but the moment they started, I don't recall a time where they haven't been around 😂
Mt Wellington is awesome. I understand it is officially called kunanyi, now much like the old school Mt Ayres is called Uluru. I'm a person who prefers cooler temperatures to warmer and is happy with the wind but your preferences will make a significant difference. It's a bit of a stereotypical tourist place, but I think it is for as good reason. Awesome views in semi-decent weather and just an adventure, otherwise.
Nice video. I've given you a like and subscribe - hope the channel grows. I'm a bit older and live on the north island but I've been visiting semi regularly since the early 80s and travelled on the Empress and the Abel Tasman. I lost my last family connection in 2017 and haven't been back for a bit. I've been checking fares for a nostalgia trip and it's wild that The Spirit runs out of Geelong instead of Melbourne these days.
Appreciate the like and sub Stephen! It would have been a joy to experience those ships, or perhaps not given how rough bass straight can be! Indeed, that extra leg to Geelong may be off putting for some. We’ll continue publishing content - new video dropping tonight actually - and hope you find it both useful and inspirational. Would be a pleasure to welcome you back to the island.
