Legend thank you - alerted me to the fact a spring is still in the collection bag before I threw it out and how to fix it

Thanks! Though absolutely shithouse design by LG. Why they didn't just use a single through pin... If you're struggling to get it back in your can grind down the raised lip in alignment with the rest of the pin and use it as a through pin on one side.

Thanks, rhis helped me get my lid back on after the tower held it hostage and I had to force the vacuum off.

So if I had one of these vacuums and the springs were in the wrong way, how would I go about removing the pins?

It's a bit of a truck to get them out and I'm sorry I didn't go through it on the video, but I was frustrated from 2 hours of working on it at the time. The pins don't go in very deep in the plastic sheath, so you need to move one as far out as possible and then give it a bit of force to pop it out (definitely be careful not to force too hard because obviously you don't want to break the plastic). If the plastic breaks, is possible to just use making tape to keep it closed.

This cannot be how they intended. It is absolutely not as easy as you describe.
