i dont think thats their human player but yeah that seems to be a fairly obvious little meta thing. Also helps have more accurate amp ups cuz if u amp mid shot it could still miss
Yeah, my son plays the human player part and I'm pretty sure it was this team that told him the sensor is slightly delayed, so he can wait until the note goes through, wait another beat, and then hit the amplification button. Really great coaching by this team to the teams they alliance with. It really helps increase everyone's strategic game play.
While I can’t speak for this team, I can say that the team I am a part of (FRC 88) makes 2 bots as well, one as a practice bot and one as a competition robot. Having 2 robots not only helps with practice drills such as this but also helps to prove the design actually works and gives the programming team more time to code a robot while build team is busy building the actual comp robot. Hope this helps!
Most teams build a "practice" bot, which is usually less pretty, and more rough to prove the design works as intended and gives the programmers something to work with while the comp bot is being made Then build a "Comp" bot, which is usually painted and a lot more refined
This match was so intense watching it live over stream! Both alliances did amazing! I was rooting for Dally though since 870 comes from NY just like my team.
