I really hope one day we learn the real fate of Lucy Gray............I like to imagine she survived in the woods and managed to live her life somewhat peacefully in the wilds or something.
i do believe that coryo loved lucy gray, but love only goes so far. he wanted to win. he wanted to land on top. the transition from coryo to snow starts the moment he goes to the districts and realizes he was made for the capitol and craves the control. he loves to win, once he won with lucy gray he knew he was made for it.
Lucy greyin de snowun da aşktan öte öncelikleri vardı ne snow onunla birlikte kaçabilicek bir adamdı ne de lucy grey başkentte yaşabilicek bir kadın onların sonu kaçınılmazdı maalesef
in the book i was tying so much back to the hunger games, like it adds so much meaning to everything that happened and what katniss did to rebel, like the mockingjays, the song, the roses, it made everything hit harder then it already did
I actually have this theory that the snake at the end was in fact planted there by Lucy Gray, but it wasn’t venomous or anything. What if, the snake actually made him hallucinate seeing her? And that the song he heard her “sing” was a hallucination? I like to think Lucy Gray made it to district 13, but that’s really unlikely.
You have to read between the lines of Suzanne collins the ballad of songbird and snakes to actually realised that Coriolanus Snow is a villain through and through. His inner dialogue will show you that. He does not love Lucy Gray, like a true narcissist he likes how she sees him ‘Pure as a driven Snow’ but the moment he realised that she was able to see the real him, that changed things for him. Everything that he thinks he did for her was actually for the benefit of him. It was always about him. He sees Lucy Gray as his property that he possessed ‘His Lucy Gray’ He said it himself heprefers her locked up at the capitol because there he can control her. But when they were both in twelve he despise the things that embody her, her music, her covey, her bird references and her freedom. He mistaken control for love.
I've watched this edit on repeat! Amazing work. I 100% beliveve Coriolanus would have ended up killing Lucy if she didn't run away. (Very much like Joe Goldberg in YOU) Lucy realized this the second she understood Coriolanus was responisble for the death of his friend, and would go back to the capitol if he could since he could leave no trace of the murder of the mayors daughter. Coriolanus has strong narcissistic traits, and we see/read this over and over again. Even when he went into the areana to rescue his friend, he did it for money, not because he cared much for his friend. However Coin must be a full blown psychopath
Coriolanus was never friends with Sejanus, it's explicit in the book but in the movie they didn't make it clear. In the book, he only goes because they basically force his hand, and he doesn't have a choice, so he goes and says whatever he can think of to get Sejanus out so he can get out safely.
