I love my tattoos, they’re dainty and well thought out. Each item is meaningful, I will take months up to years to actually commit to a tattoo. All my tattoos are of my own creation with the help of the artist. I love tattoos, but it’s really an art. The body is a canvas

As a young person, I was dissatisfied with myself. but as an adult 40 I am proud to be unique. you don't have to change anything. accept yourself as you are. Because the way you are, you are unique. I have gray eyes and there are very few people with them. that's what makes you unique. just an example. I almost look like an albino but what's more important is that you're healthy. When I get up in the morning I always say how beautiful I am. Because it's me, why not?. i am a pretty ugly guy but i am pretty nice guy i can cook and funny that helps.^^I don't want to change anything about myself anymore.

White women wanting to go back to white beauty standards. They are aware they lose value in conservative spaces and since their "rebellion" was superficial they regret their tattoos. Vapid.

PLEASE start loving yourselves inside and out ❤ if social media is causing you to feel less than as a person, whether physically or emotionally, especially to the point that you’re contemplating or getting plastic surgery, then it’s time to log off. Go on a social media detox for a week or 2 and see how you feel. Or if that’d be too hard, which is an issue in itself, then switch the type of content you watch for a week or 2, stay away from anything to do with beauty standards and perfection based content that tells you if you’re not doing it this way, and if you don’t look like this, then YOU are FAILING at life. Just to list a few of my all-time favorite soul crushing, self esteem imploding, body dysmorphia inducing content: ~The borderline OCD cleaning, organizing, & stock my…insert room here, vids. ~Or the good ol’, cook with MEEEE vids…Showing just another one of their “qUiCk and EaSy”, 237 ingredient, made from scratch, Taco Tuesday recipe 😂smdh ~Oooh & every parents fav "Bake with me & my 5 kids under 5”, in our $150k luxury kitchen while also witnessing the miracle of not one finger dip in the bowl by any child, not one speck of flour on their cheeks or the $30k granite countertops. And ofc most miraculously of all not one smudge of anything on their $150 adorably matching aprons from La La Boo Couture (link in bio 🙃) and then THE reveal of the toddlers baking Prowess cupcakes that looks like they came out of an award-winning bakery, because it did 😂 And scene 🎬 We all know it’s BS so let’s stop giving them views and allowing them in these management and production companies to control how we feel about ourselves. You were beautiful you were smart you were courageous and you don’t need anything that they tell you you need because you are all those things and more Without them

The thick black bar really looks like a beard with the fading looking like stubble. that attracts the eye too much. She should have blackened the whole neck. or decorate the black bar with a white on black motif. or have it lasered. because if the whole neck was black the highlight would be the face and not the neck the line is not the problem here 8:13 the fokus is the problem. You can easily see it if you put her photo in Photoshop or put black paper on her neck at your monitor. yeah from the sites it looks off but even than full balck neck looks better and makes her jaw smaller.

🦇 I'm in my 40's, so I grew up right around the end of gen x and the start of millennials. I've seen several iterations of alternative cultures, from the sparse, niche networks of the 90's that didn't use the Internet yet, to where we are now. Back in the day, shows were the closest thing we had to social networks. We'd learn about new bands when they opened for bands we already liked or when they were mentioned in the booklets of some recording we picked up. And even then we'd still face the challenge of somehow getting the music for those bands, which was often the reason my friends in the suburbs started taking trains into the nearby cities. The fading away of subcultures is something I think about a lot, especially as the primary apps young folks use shift from creator-lead networks, where audiences choose to follow someone, to algorithmic networks, where some blackbox optimizes on delivering content without follow-networks. That essentially takes away the ability for subcultures to emerges different centers of gravity that allow people to find each other and form bonds outside the Internet. Instead of unique personalities being the thing that draws people in, as we still have here on youtube, services like TikTok push everyone in the direction of satisfying the algorithm. Algorithms are nothing new, of course, but TikTok is a great example of newer services removing human oriented follow networks and relying exclusively on algorithmic feeds. Ultimately, the more everyone interacts in the same gigantic spaces, the more folks are pushed towards conformity. We don't actually face the diversity of identities wrapped in an aesthetic and instead we just experience the aesthetic. Your video mentions this, but I want to expand on it because it isn't just about subculture. Mark McLuhan talks about the way nostalgia is associated with a loss of identity too. From his perspective back in the 60's, he spoke about the way people tend to merge their identities with each other as fast as they can. He was talking about TV, but we can obviously know it's all done at scale that is at least a bobdyllion times bigger than anything he had in mind. Anyway, one of the core points he makes is that nostalgia emerges as people stop believing they can have a better future. It becomes more comfortable to define oneself clearly on share definitions of things, which is only possible if everyone agrees on the definitions and that itself requires looking backwards. He was concerned about society's tendency to rehash ideas over and over as a substitute for new ideas. Mark Fisher takes this further by saying excessive nostalgia is a consequence of the learned helplessness people feel when they no longer control their destinies. Worse, he says society's entire drive to create new futures is replaced with a focus on what has already been and the future is itself reduced to an aesthetic style representing a future that will never be reached, effectively cancelling the future. Both McLuhan and Fisher talk about the way capitalist efficiency drives us towards conformity, but neither got to see the world as it is today, where all of their concerns have been realized but in much bigger ways. What's good for the algorithm isn't necessarily what's good for us, especially if we have a unique perspective... What makes us unique is reduced to an aesthetic for a short video that may be forgotten a minute after viewing. What makes us unique is now wildly forgettable. This sends shivers down my spine. Instead, I think we should do what we can to push back and resist the algorithmic erasure of identity. As we navigate this next phase of the Internet as people bold enough to think for ourselves we should not forget what matters to us as artists, writers, musicians, etc. We should not forget what fills us with pride to make. We should not forget our purpose for making things and expressing our unique perspectives. We should not forget why we wake up each morning and devote our time and energy to whatever it is we love doing. We should resist the way those with power try to convince us to give up on building the world we want to live in. And most importantly, we should not forget what gives us a sense of meaning as a person.

18:50 not really correct. Tattooing has been a part of humanity as far back as we know. So its a part of every culture. white people didnt steal it. But also they didnt create it. Its like saying Food was invented by black people because the earliest humans were from africa.. like just say everyone eats, or every culture has used tattoo's this game of "its my culture and you stole it " is also toxic and incorrect. Just treat tattoos equally for all people.

I have greenish hazel and would love a one blue and one green eyes however I have extremely sensitive eyes even for seemingly less invasive things like eyelash lifting I had to think 10 times before getting it and my eyes are also not okay with contacts and I think in situations like mine people should try to lean into confidence and self love and embrace their own uniqueness because everyone's eyes are different and each are beautiful and unique in their own ways and I was actually thinking to get seperate colored eyecolors and I tried filters and even photoshop to see if it would fit me and I am so happy that I didn't risk going blind just to have eyecolor that I would love more.

Jasmine is a beautiful woman, wow. She'd look good in any eye color. But she honestly lucked out that no damage was done to her eyes in the outcome. Could be a lot worse than going around with green eyes the rest of her life. If it wasn't risky, I'd probably consider it too. I get tired of my brown eyes, but I have perfect vision as of now, so I'd never change that, lol. Glad that everything turned out okay for Jasmine. Makes me sad that so many of us aren't happy with what we see in the mirror, when we really look just fine. :(

I would rather choose me and make my soul feel good because at the end of the day I cant take my partner or anyone to my grave. I want to look back on my life and be reminded of how i was authentically me and enjoyed my life how i wanted to, not based on others opinion of me. Decentralise men, girls! Its life changing.

The procedure description sounds similar to the Lasik surgery I had 10 years ago, minus the color injection. I often describe it as being in a sci-fi movie body horror scene, since you're awake, and at one point you're temporarily blind as they lift the cornea layer flaps. That being said, while I recommend Lasik, I wouldn't risk your eyesight for a new cosmetic procedure when colored contacts are a viable alternative.
