I simply don’t understand these karts or this track I went to go try it in person the karts bang the rev limiters and the track is bumpy I’d much rather deal with sliding around at dkc than the turbulence from lsk along with super low rev limiters
For rental karting do you prefer lone star or DKC? I’ll be in Dallas this weekend and planning to go to DKC but wondering if I should try out lone star as well. Thanks.
@@KartingWithChris I was considering it, but was 7 seconds off the pace so decided not to race. Just started karting this year and feel like I need more consistency first.
I just started going today and had a blast I hope I get faster I want to join rental league by the next event I’ll definitely be attending every week I hope to see you there and learn a thing or two
racing here is fun but it is always frustrating when you get a bad kart, i started the pre final p1 this race and had a horrible kart that brought me down to 15th, but in the final i had a decent kart that i was able to get into 7th.
that was a tough race both mine and your karts were terrible we stayed the same amount of positions apart the entire race also the reason you feel the limiter more recently is because they added a new limiter due to many engines blowing up
It's kind of embarrassing that tracks charge money, usually over 125$ for a qualifying and 2 sprint races of "equal equipment racing" but their service standards are if it runs and drives it's good to go. So many tracks in Europe have an arrive and drive fleet as well as a dedicated sprint/endurance fleet. I understand you can never have truly equal karts, but they should be able to have karts be within 1 second of each other. I have very often had a kart 1 second slower and still kept up If get a draft or push, and stayed close enough to win when people upfront start fighting. Ive started to ask for a partial refund at the arrive and drive rate, if lap times are that bad, 3 second a lap difference is just not even a race.
I 100% agree! I've been saying for a while tracks should have dedicated karts for sprint/endurance races. But unfortunately some places prioritize money over experience. I've done some karting in Europe and the karts I drove were all pretty close to each other
I was the guy in the full suit just wanted to say it was because all the “brands” are charities that i really support I get paid for none of it. Great racing hope to see you next week 🙏
I personally prefer DKC. The track at lone star is very bumpy and the karts aren’t that well balanced. That being said LSK is under new management rn and is undergoing some renovations to fix these things. But if all you’re looking for is a fun race then I’d recommend trying it at least once
Great driving! I was in a very similar race as yours at the same track a few years ago. It was one of the toughest and best drives I've ever had. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g8zzzVB4fUM.html
kart 18 did really love that rev limiter it was like 5mph slower than everyone else but it was great around the corners! at the start of my pre final I got a solid lead like you in a runaway first but there was a yellow flag and I couldn't catch up on the straights. kart 24 that was fighting with you the whole race was down a lap the whole time I think I could've gotten you if he wasnt fighting you so much lol.
Yeah I had 18 in the pre-final as well. That kart was good in the corners, but not much in the straights as you said. Also I didn't realize during the race, but I think you're right kart 24 was a lap down on us. Overall good racing man! Almost had me at the end
The mic is definitely an improvement. It lets you tag comments, that you otherwise might have forgotten. Also, it shows that you can get angry. Your calm tone is quite annoying some time
Name change suggestion, Karting with Potty Mouth Chris. 😁 It it was cool to hear in kart audio. People don't realize it's a bit difficult to drive well and talk out loud at the same time. Although harder to edit, the combo of in kart audio and your commentary is good. You should try another race of in kart audio before deciding on what you want to do. Nice pre final drive!
@@KartingWithChris I liked the mixture of onboard :) I think you got the right idea, if talking is messing with your driving can always fall back to voice overs :)
Hi Chris I’m looking for a partner to go karting every week but can’t find anyone that has the time or money. Also I live an hour away from there but willing to make the trip. How often are you there
bro this guy was playing really dirty like 2 years ago, he was like number 3 and I was riding him the whole race waiting for something, he pushed me into the mud (it rained before we got there) and I got soaked hip down, I ended up catching back up to him and went for the pass, the then losses control and goes flying into the biggest, wettest, mud puddle on the entire track. I was just as stoked as you where here lmao.
I’ve only ever been to dkc twice because it’s kinda far away but yeah that track is crazy slippery it surprised me my first time! I wish I could come more often but I think I’m gonna join the rental league sometime it looks very fun
Nice drive! Was there with my family doing rental karts when y’all were doing qualis, think I’ll try to make a league race this year. Looks like tons of fun!
