The honda cr85 kick shaft is really tricky to get on, the hole is located bottom left and when spring pops off there is no way to get the spring arm past the clutch basket whilst its still in place so you have to pull kick shaft off completely (making sure the locations marks are lined up ) put the pin in the hole then use the actual kick on the shaft and turn it putting tension on the spring until it goes past the little catch that sits behind the shaft then push it all into place while making sure the other spring at the back sits in its place and the main spring doesn’t spring out of the hole, takes a good couple of tries ill tell you that 😂
BEST "How to" video I've ever seen! Didn't spend the first 15 mins talking about himself, and telling us to "be sure you're wearing safety glasses..... STRAIGHT to the point, with no B.S. VERY WELL DONE👍
I wanted to take the pull starter off a 79 cc predator and replace it with a kick-starter what problems do you foresee and what solutions? Obvious I'm not going to have that spring toe-hold.
RIP, the mounting point for the spring in mine is a piece of metal secured by a allen screw. The screw immediately stripped out and I do not feel like doing a full tear-down to get that fucker loose. I'll survive, it only takes a couple of kicks to start anyway.
