Hello. The base of the coop has four pits. These pits can be filled with pebbles or stones to add additional weight. If you were really concerned, you could also use guy ropes to secure to the ground or to a fence. I do hope that helps. Kind regards Carrie
I have this exact same coop. And I live in Indiana, I see you have snow where you live. Do you insulate in anyway or use a heater at night?? Our winters nights get pretty harsh a couple weeks out of the year.
@criticalcrossroads498 I have it in an enclosed run and I do keep the run secure to the ground. I have had my run get blown away by the wind and it scared the crap out of us so we tied her down.
Hello - dependant on their size (show type or utility type), the large coop could house 6-8 Orpington's. To give you an idea, there are 3, 3ft perches within the coop. Hope that helps.
ukraine and russia gopt u on the poanic eh...started with covid for me...we all should plant and raise chicken..build a water filter and get bicycles...a nice fuck you to governments....
Hello, i' m from Germany. I think your Chickenhotels are very good, but two thinks i can't Inderstand: Why there are holen in the ground Floor? And why are at the INSIDE the deepenings in the Walls? Isn't ist simpler without them? How offen i must disassamble it completly, in Order to Put Out the Mites? Thank you
Just put it together. Watched the first half of the video but it’s pretty obvious what goes where. Got mine second hand. As funky and good as I’m sure it’ll be £687 new is mental money! Luckily got mine for half that.
very nice and easy to assemble coop - just wish there was a big more adjustability horizontally for the roosting bars. the 1 looks very close to the nesting boxes - gonna get covered in poop.
Great to read you love our coops! We are hoping for August time. Please drop us an email and we will keep you posted with updates. Thank you. Kind regards Carrie
Thank you for your comment. The roost heights are adjustable but they can also be at the same height so there would be no issues with fighting. Hope that helps. Kind regards
This looks like a pretty FOWL of a project, but it looks like sometimes you have to really WING it along, while getting a LEG up on the competition as well as the weather. But hey, no worries, at least you can COMB through any problem, as long as the problem is not too much to CRACK through that EGGSHELL of a problem, huh? LOL (Way too many Chicken puns, huh??) I guess this comment is pretty BILE, huh?? LOL :)
Thank you for your comment. We do find that the coops actually cope well in high winds. Also the base has four 'pits' in it which enables the user to fill them with pebbles or sand to add additional weight should you require it. Even a wooden coop is no match to very high winds. Unless the house secured with concrete blocks or similar, any house has the potential to move. Hope this helps. Kind regards
Im sure u r married. But if ur not married or have a boyfriend im interested in getting to know you I am from New Jersey but if two people like each other and end up falling in love there's nothing that would hold them back where you think can we talk

I tried to raise 14 babies but I think I messed up and I kept bringing them in and out of the house so I think I made a mistake and I actually killed them I had 14 and I ended up with 744 baby ones that actually did pretty damn good I got a buff orpington out of it I got a couple Rhode Island Reds in a Cinnamon Queen but I don't know there's something seriously wrong with my Suddenlink Queen it's like I don't know she's really small and she should be the size of the other ones but she's really small maybe I'll send you a picture of my birds if you would like thank you and have a good day
Thank you for your comment. As the panels have a double wall construction, there is a 'dead air' space which provides excellent insulation. This means that the coops remain cool in the summer and retain warmth for the winter months. The plastic is a high molecular weight polyethylene with excellent balance of stress crack resistance, stiffness and melt strength. It also has good rigidity and impact strength even at low temperatures and does not become brittle. I do hope this helps. Kind regards
