It's a chess computer called a square off Grand based on a plotter with two fixed rails and a moving arm with a magnet. The pieces are from my old Milton bradley grandmaster chess computer which did the same thing back in 1982 with an onboard computer only this new one is app based and I can play anyone in the world who has the app and or the range of square off computers in the range .I'm glad you're enjoying the old games I am reproducing 😊
I am using my old Milton Bradley's pieces from my Grandmaster chess computer. With the magnets reversed made in 1982, they are much better quality with finer details .it's a pity square off. Don't do a quality set 40 years later ,hopefully, they will .
Cool concept of showcasing famous games like this. I think if you sped it up a little, maybe make some shorts with this board, you could have more views.
I'd like it better if the capturing piece moved first and then the captured piece moved off the board. That's the way it happens most often in real life, I think, and would make things easier to follow. I also didn't like the drums in the beginning. I mean, I like drums in general well enough, but I don't at all associate them with the game of chess, which has roots going back long before the snare was invented, and is an elegant game when played at the highest level. I'd prefer you stick to the kind of music which accompanied the game itself.
Unfortunately it's the way the square off system works .sorry for the drums need to find something to cover the intro did try marching but did not sound right. I will keep looking for something else thanks for your comments
