@@niceonefishing always -that's the most common fish I catch here in tbe Hudson River. I love when they jump out the water sometimes when you set the hook . These channels are great fighters

Years ago my cousin and i were bass fishing lake somerville tx. He caught a 3lb channel cat on a white spinnerbait in the shallows. Then later that afternoon i caugh a 10lb blue on a deep diving crankbait
Several years back I was fishing with my dad on a small v bottom boat. Throwing one of those cheap rattletrap shad lures. Next thing I know, I had an 8 pound channel cat on my ultra light. Thought I had a monster bass. Was a fun fight.
