Trust me, if you train every day, you will blow past iron fast. The beginning is just getting used to doing the aim training consistently! This is the fun part, you start seeing a lot of improvement.
@@bjorkie644 I know. I'm not new to learning skills. I'm well aware of mindset mind hacks. There been plenty other areas that I ended up being one of the best in gaming and in my work force as well. I just haven't taken in improving my aim seriously yet
@@OldSchoolL4D-zb2kt Awesome you already know how it goes. Since you know how to learn, then this should be really simple. Only limiting factor is how much time/energy you want to invest.
the pirate software jam was my first game jam too! Unfortunately me and my friend work shitty hours so we couldn't work on it that much so we didn't submit, but still learnt so much, will be joining the Brackeys game jam this Sunday! Can't wait to see what else you do!
@@kiantinker122 dude that’s awesome! Yeah game development takes some time it’s a grind so I get it. I can’t even imagine doing a 3D game and how much more time that is, but I low key want to try it in the future. You got this for Brackeys! If you end up finishing it, hit me up I would love to see the game
@@Mark-wq7wd thank you! You got this dude. Just think about it, what’s the worst that can happen? The more you fail, the faster you learn. It’s all trial and error.
@@Taxman123 haha I appreciate it. I think it may be because this is a new style of video on my channel as I used to do FPS aim videos. I will be leaning more toward programming and building things that interest me and showing people the journey. But I definitely need to improve my editing!
@@w5-denyo113 you know I was going to add background music, but every track I could find didn’t fit for me. I will try to make it work on the next video. I definitely will improve there I appreciate the feedback
I appreciate it! I didn't put in all the frustrating hours of me banging my head against bugs, so it's more like "the best moments where everything came together perfectly" lol I have programming knowledge as well so that definitely helps. But game development is a very interesting world and I would like to make more cool stuff especially in 3D instead of 2D.
i was always a good player in fps games and always had good tracking, problem is im the opposite as you. so basically i went up from 0 to low plat in 1 week of kovaaks and voltaic, then i noticed bounceTS is what i was incredibly good at, (current bounceTS intermediate pb is 700) but i was actually trash in all clicking scenarios such as 1w5t or something like that, really small targets that arent moving basically, and i still do trash scores on those
Yeah it's very dependent on your history. I used to play a lot of CSGO 8 years ago, so I had an advantage when it comes to clicking scenarios, but I sucked at tracking. So it makes sense that you probably have a different history and different advantages
@@bjorkie644 yeah most of the games i play are tracking based, used to play cs and valorant too but never shined too much and always relied on crosshair placement more than real aim
Man this really should be pinned somewhere in the voltaic discord, the text tutorials are nice but it's so hard to follow without visuals. A year later and still a banger video, thank you!
@@Micyek hey man I appreciate it! Yeah it’s so much easier to visually show these steps. I feel like that’s what most gamers want is to have something simple to follow!
Honestly, training all 3 of the main aiming types will help. They are all very fundamental to aiming in general. If you want to have solid aim you want to train all. If the time to kill is high, then tracking is important. If you see a lot of players consistently at once, switching is important. If time to kill is low then clicking is important. That’s like a general guideline. I honestly haven’t played pubg in years so I don’t remember how fast the time to kill is. But one things for sure is since you’re not in the action as much in a battle royal, aim training will help you iron out your weaknesses faster.
@@bjorkie644 Thanks for the detailed answer, yeah some people claim that your aim cannot be trained with this game since it has huge recoil, its high kill time, once your crosshair is on the target basically you aim down to compensate for the recoil and get a kill. So its sort of like clicking but once clicked, aiming down. Only sometimes do you get driven by so I can keep tracking there as well. I also like to play kovaak so its a win win, already seeing some improvements!
@@gwnbw that’s awesome! In that case you’re going to see a lot of value in practice your recoil patterns. I’m not sure if it’s predictable recoil like CSGO or RNG, but you can at least get a feel for your favorite guns and practice the recoil. But you still need to be aiming in the right spot anyways so aim training definitely helps. Aim training can never substitute game sense and game mechanics though. So if you lack any game specific mechanics, those definitely have to be trained and targeted in game
Just keeping pushing my man. Using Kovaaks for a person who's new to KnM is actually so good. If you consistently train every day, you will improve so much quicker than someone just grinding the game. Just train all of your aim types. It's probably going to feel impossible at first, but your brain will adapt if you train every day.
@@bjorkie644 appreciate the vote of confidence man, I'll see if I can keep you updated through the comments section. Thanks again for the introductions to Voltaic 🙏😎
@@BlazingJacob yeah man of course! Don’t forget to play your main game. If you notice that a certain part of your aim is weaker than others, make sure you spend extra time training those weaknesses. Like for xdefiant, switching and reactive tracking are the main skill sets to train. But you still need to train up all of the skills because they are all fundamental to your mouse control.
I would recommend warming up a bit or just trying each scenario a couple times. If you’re just starting out, these first scores won’t really matter. If you practice enough, you’re going to blow these initial scores out of the water. So don’t over complicate it. I would say, warm up so you’re not completely cold, then go through the benchmarks twice each as a good starting point. Remember, you will most likely improve these scores very quickly especially if you’ve never done aim training. It’s more of just to see where you’re at currently and give you a structure to follow. Also this improves the whole aiming experience and makes it so that you can see your progression in a more gamified way.
Hell yeah man I'm glad! Aim training is definitely satisfying and fun! Don't forget to train the actual game that you want to improve at as well. Unless your goal is to just do aim training. Either way good luck!
It does happen. It means you probably have some strengths in some areas and weaknesses in others. It’s completely up to you, but you could spend a disproportionate amount of time on the other scenarios. You can still train your master scenarios, but focus harder on the ones that are more difficult for you. So for example if you spend 20 minutes on each scenario (hypothetical number), then when you get to your master scenarios, maybe spend like 5 minutes to keep them solid, but spend more time on the others. That all depends if your goal is to be more well rounded. But if you want to just be a beast tracker then you can train them too. Depends on your goals!
Hey man! Yeah It's been awhile. To be honest, shortly after this video I stopped playing Valorant and stopped gaming competitively Moving on to other things in life! Just a personal decision, I didn't fully enjoy gaming competitively anymore To answer your question, I peaked high diamond before I stopped. I can't remember the exact rank
@@vicorin27 dude I appreciate it! Yeah it’s a sensitive topic to others who love games or use it to escape, but I just have different goals, and playing games aren’t going to get me there. I don’t think games are evil. If people truly enjoy playing, then that’s great. But when I played, sometimes I would get attached to a game and a rank, and I’ll just be like “Really? There are so much better things I can be doing right now” I would encourage if you or other people have that similar voice in your head, then follow it. Your time is precious, you don’t want to throw it all away on things that don’t make you happy or that don’t lead you to your true goals.
Thank you! I’m tied between “Homogenic” and “Post” I normally listen to her popular songs not necessarily her albums. But those have the most classic songs that got me into her
I will add as well, I saw an interview years ago where Travis Scott said he listened to Bjork, I checked her out, and was super into it! Great artist. Another Icelandic singler that I like it “Ane Brun” . I love her album “A Temporary Dive”
Nice! I think my fav albums by her so far are Debut and Homogenic, but they're all so good so its hard to choose lol. I love listening to her live performances. My favs are her MTV Unplugged and Cambridge 1998 shows.
Hey man i know in retrospect this sounds silly but i have been spending my time just grinding out the benchamarks on repeat i wasnt aware there playlists for each rank with insights Appreciate this a lot <3
Of course! Glad you found use from the video. Yeah there are many routines out there. If you want to improve and stick with it for awhile, you're probably going to go through many routines. Especially once you get better and better you have to find more creative ways to push yourself!
Yeah of course. If that's what suits you. At the end of the day, this is one routine. Everyone has different time available to put into aim training. Just take the time to construct a little schedule, and then just perform on that schedule. You can test out different times and see what works best for you!
Hey man. I'll be honest, I no longer find value in playing games competitively. I find more value in playing games for fun every once in awhile with my friends. But to play by myself, I find it (personally in my opinion) to be a waste of time, only because I have different goals that I'm striving for. I haven't played Valorant competitively in like over 6 months. I left off in high Diamond I can't remember exactly what rank. I did enjoy making videos, and I do like making content. Gaming content just doesn't align with my real goals in life. Gaming content requires me to grind games, I don't like paying games like that anymore. So it's just a vicious cycle of me doing something I don't like. We are all different! But I also encourage everyone to turn off all the noise around them, and ask yourself deeper questions every once in awhile. Sometimes you'll realize that you truly don't like the direction you're going. Better to realize it now, than to waste years of your life. Do what you love, set out ambitious goals, and shoot for the moon!
I am very well aware of that! Couldn’t get the script to work on my computer so all the work it would take to figure out what the issue was, wasn’t worth the time that I could just type it out with my fingers.
If you want me to be honest, I don't aim train like I used to. But consistency, random sensitivity generator, and focusing on accuracy over speed will definitely help. It will take time, but you will get faster. Accuracy is beast
Hey cool vid ! Can you tell what sens do you use in valorant and kovaaks ? do you change sens in kovaaks often and was diamond complete done on one sensitivity or many ?
I like to stay with one sensitivity. But I also love using a sensitivity randomizer. On valorant my sens is .45 at 400 dpi . When this video was made I think my sens was higher. Sens really doesn’t matter in my opinion but some senses make some scenarios easier.
ALot of people get confused and grind the benchmarks and wonder why their progress is so slow... play the fundamentals! use the benchmarks to check if you can level up
The Voltaic Fundamentals Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc has some really good tracking scenarios. I reccomend to do the fundies of the rank above where your current scores are to challenge yourself
Could you help me something? I've just started my voltaic aim training and I've watched a video of your where you explain somethings. But a can't understand a thing, I've been making my benchmark once a week and on other days I am making my iron training. The score that I put in my benchmark is the biggest from that step ? And what do I put in avg score ? Congratulations for your improvement! You rock!
Thank you! I honestly never put anything in the average section. You don't need it necessarily. When I did my scores I simply put my highest score. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask away
See I wonder if I been doing this wrong. I am gold complete in both high scores and average with 500 energy on both so I assumed I’m supposed to be doing Platinum training to practice to get platinum benchmarks. Just like you I have about 4-5 scores Platinum as well
I think that should be fine! That’s what I did. If you hit gold complete then it’s time for a new challenge so going to platinum training will be better
Diamond complete is referring to the Voltaic aim training benchmarks. It's done on Kovaaks or Aimlabs they have different benchmarks but it's more or less the same. It trains your ability to track targets, switch targets, and click static targets. These benchmarks have ranks to them. They basically gamified aim training but there's a big community of people grinding those benchmarks and there are different ranks. Starting from Iron, Bronze, Silver all the way to Astra, Celestial which are the highest ranks you can achieve. I have a video on how to get started if you're interested in aim training. It can help you improve your mouse control but aim training to me isn't a substitute for actually playing your main game if you have one. It's more like something that can enhance your training.
I believe this takes the average out of your last 5 or 10 scores. So it shows you what your scores you get on average on a specific scenario. I like to look for high score, but if you want a real challenge you can test your averages although I could never get their automatic score updater script to work.
Congrats on the achievement man! Reaching diamond complete is also my goal, then maybe GM(if necessary). But would you say that anything above Diamond complete is overkill if you're just going to main a game instead of maining Kovaaks? I heard that Diamond is basically the top 5% of the aimers in the world, and it should be enough to not hold you back and focus more on gameplay.
Yeah I believe that if you want to be good at Kovaaks then you should continue grinding. But the point for me was never to get good at Kovaaks, but rather to translate those skills to a game of my choice. So once I finally picked up Valorant, I decided to focus on just that game. I still do Kovaaks like maybe 5 times a week but it's only Valorant specific scenarios. Each game is going to have different mechanics that need to be practiced as well. Being great at Kovaaks won't help your movement in Apex legends or Valorant for example. So I would say if you have that goal of diamond complete, go for it! It will give you solid fundamentals that you can work off of. But if you have a main game that you want to get good at, then make sure you're doing specific routines for that game as well. At the end of the day you have to ask, do you want to be good at Kovaaks? Or do you want to be good at your main game? So it depends on your goals.
Nooo by diamond complete I mean all of my high scores are Diamond. But not averages. That was my original goal was just to hit diamond complete! But yeah man I’m legit 4 RR from diamond right now lol . I’m definitely chasing immortal I’ve been having hella fun on Valorant
Man target switching is actually way harder than itt looks ahaha im bronze/silver hardstuck on TS but rest almost gold complete just averages a bit down. Actually hardstuck on TS.
