I think (yes I, this is just my opinion) the jaw muscles fashioned from shredded condoms on the OG Big Chap look better than the moulded purpose fashioned silicone ones used in Romulus, which just look like stretchy vertical rubber bands.
Merci aux algorithmes de m'avoir envoyé ça , fan depuis 1979 sortie en France , impressionnant de voir l'envers du décor. Si vous passez par la Suisse , ne ratez pas à Gruyère son musée a Monsieur Giger .
Hitlers secretary said the first time Bruno Ganz in uniform walked into the room her heart froze, it was like a time warp. For a few minutes she couldn’t speak.
It is rare to see the Television would show a lot of rare scene like this. Usually, TV would broadcasted the theatrical version which a lot of scene had been deleted and for complete extended cut, it need to be watched on DVD or VHS version. But this was other way around. TV does show an extended cut version
Yes, today extended film versions cut for TV broadcast are quite rare. But extended versions cut from movies workprints are still done for TV, but significantly less than before the Internet era, i.e. in the 1980s and 1990s. With these special editions, the aim was to get more viewing time for the TV/cable channel, so the TV companies paid the movie company that owns the movie rights and the workprint (according to rumors) large sums for the special extended editions of the film. Before the internet and the time of streaming, the deal was profitable for the party that owns the rights to the film, as the life cycle of the film often faded within a year of the premiere. With this, the companies agreed to cut special versions for TV and thus get money from the film, as well as get more viewing time for the film when the film was no longer shown in theaters. TV companies and cable networks, on the other hand, benefited by showing special versions of films by getting more viewers, and longer versions also brought more income to TV companies through additional advertisements and advertising time. Film workprints are extremely rare and often contain significantly more material, the extended TV versions are the closest to revealing the contents of the workprint. The TV versions are often still ones that the directors would not like to show.
Total garbage video on account you can't hear a dam thing due to the music. Did you bother to listen to it after you made it or what? Delete your channel and stop making videos. You suck.
You are very kind to this cut and paste member berries rehash for the retarded. This wasn't a movie at all imo. That it has warranted a sequel is sad. It is something I will never watch again. As problematic as every Alien film since Aliens can be they were still films. They've all had throwback mentions to the original but this midquel had little to nothing original. Maybe the Alien saga has more history in games and the Hulu series but as far as film it's finished after this cover band greatest hits collection for me.
I think that two of the director's kids, son Charlie and daughter Katrine Boorman, where in that movie (playing Mordred and Ygraine.) That must have been weird to have Katrine's father direct an intimate scene with his daughter and another man. Neither one of them can act but it's okay NAR for their parts. The part that drives me crazy is the armor. That amor is at least 200 or 300 years more advanced than armor in Arthurian times would have been. And the male actors are in it most of the time. But it's a most excellent movie and IMHO the best Arthur movie ever made.
This is the best WWII movie in history. Nothing comes even close. Very well made. But they never should have cut these parts out. Everyone in it gave Oscar winning performances. Excellent movie.
@@davidroyston1671I think aliens really took alien to wrong direction. Original alien was really mysterious and creepy almost humanoid not a bug like in aliens.
I think the direct quotes just add another layer to the movie. It makes a lot of sense with rook and ash sharing quotes because they share the same programming. I think that would add to similarities in how they think and function. In other places the direct quotes still don't bother me, I don't get the complaints really. Over all a great alien movie, and a solid addition to the franchise.
Another Alien 3 quote is used when Tyler (Archie Renux) has been attacked the Alien just before he dies he says Dillon’s line is “is that all you got “
Big Chap is the only true A L I E N. Everything that followed was just a knock off that could never capture the fear that the original perfected. I was ten years old when I was forced to watch this film in 1979 at the drive inn theater by being left in the car by myself while the others jumped into another car to party. I was scarred for life. I am going on 55 now and in those 45 years there has been nothing...and I mean nothing that has scared me and haunted my nightmares as much as Big Chap has. He is tattooed on my back because he is always behind me...chasing me.... True practical effects perfection and design from the nightmare mind of Giger. There will never be another monster created for film that will ever top this design. The crest of that mountain has already been reached by this creature.
When we get to an age and have kids of our own, we'd perhaps think differently regarding such things and how appropriate such a viewing would be for a kid who is not even s teenager. Even by today's standards it is perhaps prudent to justify a 'minimum age' for voilent and disturbing movies. I first saw this movie the same summer when it first came out im 1979. By then I'd seen a few scary movies, and stuff like the Thing / Walking Dead and so on but nothing like the Xenomorph to rattle your cage and leave an indelible mark. I must admit I liked the concept of the Space Jockey and the Space Derelict even more, although the whole story cast acting special effects world-building and art Giger's influence good directing all made this such a classic. Most people gloss over the fact that the story & script of the original works by Dan O'Banon et al that were being worked on 1977-1979, before we got the final screen play version, was the real masterpeice. True Sci-Fi at its best.
Still missing the full scene with Ripley discovering her daughter is gone as she cries holding onto Burke, who then looks at his watch frustrated that they're running late.. Also, his caccooned scene has you see the explosion as Ripley walks away.
It would be interesting to do a study on the evolution of the alien's life cycle. It started where he was incubating the original crew and dying, then came the idea of a queen and hive and now there are engineers and goo and a whole different idea of what the alien is, how it lives and where it came from.
It's one of the biggest problem with this movie along with the opening shot that makes no sense . It's frustrating because it's not necessary for all the callbacks. You can make references when it's needed. It's well made and i get it Fede Alvarez is showing his love for Alien .But he made a greatest hits compilation instead of making his own Alien movie.
0:59 Wait - exactly who the hell is this girly-voiced woman speaking in these tests?!... It sounds like Sigourney really switched-up and settled down into the baritone spectrum of her voice for actual shooting - and for the rest of her career...
At the same time of the screening of Spiderman : Across the Spider Verse, 1 cinema in Singapore decided to re-play Alien and Aliens in cinema. Theyre playing in IMAX. I saw the poster and I was like 'F* it, take my 30 SGD per movie, I am going to watch it. ' That was one of the best weekend movie activity I ever did. Alien in a big screen, adds to the horror. And Aliens is another level in big screen. It rivals post 2000s action movies. I will do it again if they replay it in the big screen no doubt. Mind you I was born in 1991, years after Alien and Aliens. And this movies never gets old.
How can some say this isn't a good film...it is though!! The Longer Cut is the better version. In my view (Alien, Aliens, Alien 3) are all great & are much better than the later ones especially (Alien Resurrection) which i don't like at all no!
