You definitely read a lot of books in August. I enjoyed listening to your reviews of the books. You were eloquent, consise and clear on why you rated the books the way you did. 😊
I went to Powells bookstore in Portland, Oregon. I left Texas with just a carry-on, but I bought back almost 50 books. I had to buy bigger luggage. The extra $100 for my luggage was worth it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m just like you… buying books on series that I didn’t even started 😂😂 You had a great selection on your haul, but I notice that most if not all of them are traditionally published, and let me tell you, when you dive in on the indie ones you will have a blast!!! ☺️PS: your pup is very cute!
You are so lucky that you can order so many books I live in an assisted living and have a limited budget I love watching people that can buy lots of books
That was a great haul! I’m curious how you feel about Cold War. I am hesitant to pick it up for some reason. I loved Summer Romance and Out on a Limb! 💕
Those are such cute sweatshirts, they look so cozy!! Great haul, always fun to acquire so many books, haha. I loved Anxious People and Finlay Donovan 😊
I respect how Ali Hazelwood is trying different subgenre of romance. Hadn't read her latest book yet, but having that warning has prepared me on what to expect from reading it.
I've been binge watching mid-year reading tags & your video didn't disappoint! Some of the books I'm really looking forward to read are definitely Yours Truly & Just for the Summer because Abby Jimenez really needs no introduction 💙💖 Hope you have a wonderful & Happy Juneteenth! I have a personally fun question for you. What's the first book you read that made you fall in love with the romance genre?
Oh that’s so great and thank you so much! Absolutely, Abby Jimenez is one of the best - currently reading Yours Truly and I’m obsessed! Happy Juneteenth! The first book that made me fall in love with romance was Flawless by Elsie Silver and romantasy was the ACOTAR series by SJM! What about you?
You see to like the same books I do. Please try the legends of thezmarr series, kingdom of lies series, the witch walker series and gods and monsters series. Other ones these hollow vows, the wolf king, the ever king and white horse black nights. They are AMAZING and I really think you would like them.
Fun tag ❤️📚❤️ I set my Goodreads goal to 80, and I'm at 57 books so far. I still need to read the ACOTAR Series! I got it for Christmas last year! I'll have to check out Bewitched and Bespelled. Thanks! I'm waiting for Poisin in Their Hearts by Laura Sebastian to release, the third book in the Castles in Their Bones Series. I want to get Shadow and Bone Series read this year.
that's AMAZING, you're doing so good! I haven't read anything by Laura Sebastian, will have to check her out too. S&B is on my list too, not super high b/c its YA but I'm still hearing great things so I will need to read that soon too!
Love this!! I’m planning to do this video soon as well. ACOMAF was one of my top books from 2023, just so so good!! 😍 I need to read more Ali Hazelwood, I’ve only read The Love Hypothesis and really enjoyed it!
Your shelves are so incredibly stunning! I hope to one day have shelves that beautiful ✨💖 Keep up the amazing work! 👍 I have another very personal question for you. Which popular genres do you really enjoy reading the most?
Thank you so much, I'm loving the extra space for all these books I've been buying, lol! My favorite genres are contemporary romance and romantasy, what are yours?
Found your channel & subscribed! OMG!!! This book haul is everything, I've actually read The Love Hypothesis last year & ABSOLUTELY loved it! It's never too late to jump on the Ali Hazelwood bandwagon, I hope you enjoy reading ANYTHING by her as much as she enjoyed writing them 💗 Happy Pride Month! 🏳🌈🏳⚧ I have a very personal question for you. Which romance books did you read & love that always reminded you of summer? ☀📚
Thank you so much, I'm so happy you're here!! and Happy Pride Month as well!! She is amazing, I'm absolutely loving everything I've read by her so far. I think my favorite summer romance is It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey, it was actually the book that got me back into reading!
What a great reading month!! Yay for the Emily Henry books (my top 2 of hers), Part of Your World, and listening to the first 3 ACOTAR books 😍 I really want to read Butcher and Blackbird!
Here's what I read A very private school by Charles Spencer memoir How to end a love story by yulin kaung Interview with the vampire by Anne rice Murtagh by Christopher paolini City of fire by don Winslow Binding 13 by chloe Walsh It happened one summer by tessa bailey Steelstriker by marie lu The green mile by Stephen king
I’m so happy you’re here, thanks for joining! The best advice I have is to start with one from each genre and see which one you like the best and continue from there, and obvi don’t buy a whole series before you read the first book lol, like I do sometimes. And never feel bad for DNFing, not every book hits so there’s no point in wasting time on something you don’t enjoy! Best of luck to you and let me know how it goes!!
Just found your channel! I recently read The Familiar and loved it, hope you will too!! Happy Place is not my favorite Emily Henry but it’s still great! I had CC3 on my May TBR but did not get to it, best of luck with that one 😂 Oh and my favorite color is blue 💙
Thanks so much for joining!! Good to know because I haven’t heard too much on the familiar and have seen reviews all across the board for happy place. I’m nervous about CC3 but just have to power through lol, maybe it will surprise me! 💙💙💙
@@bernadetta.duffin you’re so welcome!! I know a lot of people love happy place so I hope you will be one of those! Haha yep just power through CC3, you can do it 😂 I didn’t like book 2 so I’m very hesitant to read book 3 but I’ll probably get to it eventually!
@@LibrariesandLattes i did like CC2 but it just confused me in many places and took me longer to get through than I would have liked...expecting this to be the same but still kind of scared lol.
I just finished this phenomenal new book of fairy tales entitled Sillies, Fancies, and Trifles - it was phenomenal and I think you'd love it. It would go with the lovely recommendations here. Keep up the beautiful videos :)
