I guess you can say that one advantage to requiring corrective lenses is that when reading at a normal distance starts becoming more difficult, you can get progressives in the bottom of your lenses and just be able to look down to read fine print, instead of constantly putting on and taking off a reading pair. They now off implanted multifocal lenses, which have the reading power in the middle, which is one reason why its better than having both eyes lasered to 20/20.

I also wear glasses all the time. I need them to function normally.
