This game was actually a Russian homebrew game for the sega genesis of an existing game for the ZX Spectrum named "Uwol: Quest for Money." The music from the title was used in unlicensed sega genesis games that are also Russian without his consent, I think.
@@flamaalt-hx9io I'm not much of an expert on the MAME driver structure to make a new one, and it would take an year to compile the thing on my PC, so I can't really attempt to do it, but it is totally possible, and a good idea, actually.
Absolute banger, Alex! You really pushed the limits of the Commodore PET, including the speech synthesis feature, which is not supported by its limitations. But, you really did what others couldn't do! Congrats on your programming capabilities!
@shiru8bit Oh, I see. I'm trying to make a game based on my own charecter and design, but I have no experience with 6502 programming. Would you like to help in assisting to make my game a reality? I'm currently working on the soundtrack for the game and I'll credit you too, if you insist.
@@TristanGarver Nah, the point is to show up what is the PET hardware can do. We all know what SID can do. Also, not only RAM, the CPU is maxed out here as well.
3:37 That final speech synthesis stab at the Amiga retrocomputing sub-fandom, fucking sweet. Epic well-known modern-day PET demo, the pseudo-3D effects too.
This game looks like it could have been a legit NES release back in the day from a real developer (although a real game would probably have had more levels)
All of these are 2 channel. 2 and a half perhaps, the half references to the drum sounds that interrupt the two main channels at times. But in general, there is never more than two different sounds/tones playing at once.
