For me, I'm just a guy that likes doing things. I love the outdoors, going places and seeing things. If i need to learn a new skill to go somewhere and see something new, I'm down for that. It's all about the adventure.
It's also about sharing the adventure. So that's why on my channel you'll find my adventures. Flying, SCUBA diving Cars and my go to adventure what I call "soft enduro dirt and trail riding".
Why did I start my channel? - Well, I got bored, so after learning a new language, I started making video of my adventures mostly to share with my family and friends. And now I want to share them with all of you, the RU-vid community.
So, with that all said, I hope you enjoy my channels.
Yeah. It was a good one. I had not ridden Hack’s HWY or Penda Rd before and that was the first time I rode the full length of Crack n Back. After all the riding I did in the high country and at Horton, I was a bit sore after this. Must of had to do a little more work on this one. 😜. And thanks for watching 🤙
Hey mate. Thanks for watching. I’m using my trusty GoPro 9. In a 2.7k setting at 60 FPS in SuperView, HyperView on (of course), sharpness is set to high & white balance is set to auto. I did try playing with the white balance, but I always found the video to washes out. I think the bigger factor to the videos is in post. When I compile the edits for upload, I use the highest quality output possible with a 2.7k resolution @ 60 FPS. I aim to keep the as close as possible to the raw footage setting.
Thanks once again Buzza, you have captured the Horton trail ride 2024 in all its glory. Hard, easy, flowing, challenging, steep. Most of all the scenery, this is a magical place to ride. Thanks to all who attended and rode and all who chipped in to make this happen. Thanks . 🤙
It was good I really enjoyed it, but I actually enjoyed the whole track. It’s such a good fun weekend. Thanks for watching to. If you know any admins on the Upper Horton Facebook, let them know they are free to post these videos directly to their page. And thank again for watching. 👍
Thanks for watching, mate. It was a good ride. It was hard enough in parts to get your pulse up, but not that hard you’re clutching your chest. I’m sure you’d do alright on it. Thanks again for watching.
Thanks mate. I’m stoked that you enjoy my video. And thanks to you and the families at Upper Horton for putting on this ride and sharing a stunning part of our great country.
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it. I know the music is not everyone’s cup of tea. I add it because not everyone wants to listen to bikes droning on, but like you said some people do. So I try to find a middle ground.
It was mad. The hill went for ever and then some. So steep and I hate going down steep hill 😂. The distances were crazy too. 180 to 190 Ks a day. Was a good ride though and the scenery was epic. Jackson’s crossing was my favourite (it’s in the next video). Thanks for watching. 👍
That would be me. I put up an event about once a month, but due to other rides the next one will be in June. If you’re not on the page, join Shoalhaven Enduro Rider on Facebook. I post dates and locations there. Hey, and thanks for watching too. 👍
Thanks mate. I think you’re right about not being beginner level. Not much you can do after you commit to some of them. Just got to see it through to the end. 😂😂😂. It’s the teamwork that get you to the end. I loved the creek run it was great. I will definitely be doing that again.
Hey mate. First off, thanks for watching. It was my first time there, so I’m not exactly sure. I know it was on the state forest side. Near the bike park. Hope that helps.
It was great. I loved how clean it was under the tree canopy. The tracks were great and so was our little group. Thanks for watching and subscribing. I appreciate that.
Thanks mate. It good to be back. I just watch your latest vid. You guys are nuts. I’d love to come and bring my drone and get some video of the hill climbs, but I just don’t think I could keep up. 😂😂
Thinking I might need to get one of those super lite 2 strokes. I just have to convince the home front that it a good idea. Shouldn’t be to hard to make happen…. 😂😂
While the service is excellent at hotel Shoalhaven Hospital, I just don’t want to book myself back in yet. 😜. And I’m all about being the chicken 🐣 at the minute. 🤣. Thanks for watching mate. 👍
Thanks mate. First off for watching and also for the comment. Yeah we’re hanging out for Horton, but before we get to that one we have a Victoria High Country tour. So keep an eye out. See you at Horton. And thanks again for watching.
Unfortunately I never rode a bike as a kid. The first bike I rode was at the training school for my L's 😂 at age 21. Happy to say, I've never looked back. Switched between road and dirt bikes as a young fella, xr250's, rgv250's, yammy xt's,katana 750, 2 honda vtr1000f and now, sticking with my drz400 now because, as you say, it can do just about anything you ask of it. Personal note.... I love hearing drz working at any speed/revs, rather than a ktm under a lazy throttle. (I understand you're just back from injury) The drz400 sounds better at any revs for me. Keep up the great work!! I still look forward to your vids, even though you left team yellow 😢 lol. 😎👍
Thanks Clayton for watching and commenting. I rode a few road bikes too. I try to say off them cause I need my license. Going fast is just to fun 😜. I’d never knock the DRZ they are great bikes. Any way hope to see you on the tracks. 👍
Hey mate. If you join the Shoalhaven Enduro Riders Facebook page, you can message me via the chats. I’m looking to have a group ride some time in March and anyone is welcome
Thanks mate. It was a good weekend good beer 🍻 good food and good riding. It’s the pits getting hurt, but you got to pay to play, right?? Thanks for watching. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks mate. It was a good workout. Wish I had the endurance to stick with the rest of the guys and complete the day. I plan to work on a few techniques and fitness to put me in a better position for the next time I ride those tracks. 👍
In my youth it wasn’t so bad, but age has slowed me. General fitness for me, I think is the key. Plus it would be good to have some gym based exercises to help not only with riding fitness, but also lifting the bikes around. When I was going to the gym I was doing chest, back and legs. I need to start going again and add core to my workouts.
We lost Mark Scerri on that.Luckily his husky stayed on the tree but he dropped into the creek bed.No damage done to body or bike.Hemorroids;good track that one.Always on our loop.Sweet.
Thanks Mick. It was the next level from what I’ve been doing. And that tree took a little bit of psyching up to do it. But I loved it. I’m definitely going to practice a few skill and will be back to have another go.
If you keep a look out on the Shoalhaven Enduro Riders Facebook page, I post events up almost every month. Anyone is welcome to come along so long as you have a license and registered bike.
I'm a 52 year old just learning again after 30 years on the road, and the difference in your riding seems night and day to me. Ya got me thinking about the koolade now!!! 🤣🤣 The minister for war and finance is gunna love my next move!!! 😉
Thanks mate. I’m glad I made the jump. The DRZ was a good bike. I totally enjoyed it and it was a great stepping stone. It wasn’t that it would go places, just more that it was a lot of work to get it there. The type of riding was starting to take a mechanical toll on the bike. The KTM seams a good fit.
Great bike mate 😎👍 After watching the two latest vids , are you riding faster and with more confidence.? Is the koolade that much better than the mighty tractor?? Keep up the good work 👍
😂. It’s I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s a lot of things. The biggest is the weight difference and the KTM is so much more forgiving. I have to give the DRZ some props, because it’s so heavy it taught me to make smart line choices. 😂 and hey, thanks for watching my video.
Thanks mate. I’d never be disappointed with the DRZ, it’s a top bike and really helped me back into the sport, but the KTM is so much lighter. Especially on the singles when you have to manoeuvre it around.
Thanks Jeff. Yes the DRZ is a heavy beast. This stir things up, so I don’t know if I should say this…. Oh what the hey. Mussel weighs more than fat. And the DRZ has plenty of mussel for hills like that. It’s this operator that lets the system down. 🤣🤣🤣. I’m just running the standard gearing 14 front and I think a 52 rear. And thanks for watching the vid too.
It was such a slog up that hill. I was stoked when I got to the top. I did have one little fall back before the hard log, it was more a slip. 😜. I want to go back and do Pillion and Crack N Back again soon.
Hey Adam, I use Rever. You can use it off line. I think there maybe a free version of it, but I have the subscription. Here’s a link apps.apple.com/app/id975571447 Good luck and thanks for watching my videos🤙
@@buzza5193 hardly ridden in the last 20 years. Just started up again. Each to thier own. Looks like a mad day. Done a few hard trails with johnno. Not my style right now. I’ll be up for some easy trails if you ever do that bro 😀. Getting old haha
@@richoooo8956 mate I was in the same boat. Hadn’t ridden in 20 years. Married, kids, house, all the things that have to come first. Got a bike about 3 years ago and started getting out there. The skills came back slowly at first, but they come back with each ride. The last time I had a bike (back in the late 90s) enduro / singles wasn’t a thing like it is today, but I’m so glad I found that enduro type of style. For me there’s something about the harder a ride becomes the more I enjoy reaching the end or the track. I guess it the achievement of it all. We do do some easier tracks. I try to get a group ride going every month or two. Keep an eye out for a Sussex Inlet ride day if you want to dip your toes in. I’d be more than happy to have you along
Thanks mate. I haven’t been called young man in a while. 😁. The first track Basswood, I think you could do that one. Middle Earth and Monkeygum it’s only the loose rock 🪨 that makes them tricky.
😆 fair enough. Mid-50s in the new mid-40s or so I’ve been told. 😊. If you’re around the Shoalhaven there are plenty of tracks for all riders (skill and age). I try and get a group ride every month or two and happy to pace the ride so everyone gets to the end. BTW the ride I arrange are aimed at beginners to intermediate level riders. You should keep an eye out and come along.
