My channel is here to promote the electronic music that I like. I do not make any money from it. If adverts appear on my videos it is because they are monetized by the record companies on behalf of the artists. None of my uploads are monetized by myself. Electronic music is not the only music that I like. I am into Classic Rock, all types of Metal, Progressive Rock etc. My favourite artists are Frank Zappa, Voivod (hence my profile pic), Gentle Giant, Genesis, IQ, Rush, Pink Floyd, CSN, Frank Marino, Kansas, Saga, Symphony X, Scorpions, Celtic Frost, UFO, Budgie, Max Webster, Alice In Chains, Heart, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, Insomnium, Enslaved, Borknagar and hundreds more. Plus all the artists on my channel.
Just watched this movie the other night. It's got its good and not-so-good points, but the music. This music never fails to give me chills. (Ironically.)
People think this is genius, but what they don't understand is all it is, is the best takes of randomly smashing on a specific type of synth. There is almost no skill or intention in it at all. It's actually kind of pitiful.
No synth on this. A broken and modified electric organ, a recording of a classical orchestra rehearsal played backward, and a damaged amplifier to filter and alter sounds that he mixed on tape.
Genius or not, skilled or not, he's a master in this kind of music. His music is intemporal, unique and beautiful. I suggest you to listen to the music you likes. Just a better idea, nothing else.
I am here thanks to Mr. Robot. That series never fails to leave these wonderful little surprises for those paying attention. Absolutely gorgeous track. It really brings up the memories of those nightly train rides alongside Mr. LS with a D and its sisters MD and MA. The flickering lights, the tall buildings slowly dancing in the soft breeze, breathing the sounds in our ears, tasting the colors of everyone else's eyes. We, the world, the entire universe, everything and everyone in perfect synchronicity. The subtle joy of merely being alive. Not worrying about the destination, Only that ride, at that instant, at that second. Nothing else matters, nothing else exists. Because we already have everything. Every atom, every being, every planet, Every star, every galaxy, every cluster, every filament. It is all ours... everything that has ever existed. We have it all, and we are not wasting a single quark, Because the curtains have finally lifted, And we can see what happens backstage. We finally know what the Holy Grail really is. Not a cup or a chalice. Not made of gold or silver. No. The Holy Grail is in our own minds. It is not filled with water or wine. No. It is filled with delicious, endless empathy. So, let's make a toast for those who have drank from it. All those who have tasted someone else's pain, And went back for more, and more, and more. All those who had the courage to be someone else, All those who forgot to be themselves. All those who have lived for another being. All those who understand these words with a smile. You are all pure, divine and universal. You are all nothing but the only true, real Gods.
Man I can only say the music and the artwork takes one to a completely different perception. Not entirely but some kind of mental tunnel. Its great, thanks so much for putting this entirety together.
This album is a total mastepiece, for me it's just as good as the best works of Tangerine Dream, almost as good as Rubycon and Phaedra for sure! I love the otherworldy sounds that only Edgar Froese can create!
❤❤For more than 40 years now a huuuge TD fan. I am gonna visit The RAH in London the ninth October for the concert of David Gilmour. Can't wait. Greetings Dirk Belgium
...saw the Frankfurt Fassbinder show 2 years later,...81, great Tour, this recording is decent, better than the one I know from several US shows and a really nice document, Thx
In keeping with the MAGNIFICENT work of that brilliant German composer Edgar Froese! i always understood what you were saying with your music Edgar Froese! I was always able to see the pictiure you were painting! We lost you too soon! And now am i left to go weep at your memorial in Berlin!
When I was a teenage boy I made love to a perfect 10 on a real train! Now I am 53 and I cannot get those moments out of my head! I have a photographic memory so it is still soooo real!
I dunno, think I might buck the trend and say I thought this is rather pedestrian compared to their other stuff of that era. I bought the album as a virgin re-release LP in 1986 and probably got listened to a couple of times before drifted away from it. I've got over 150 LPs by them in my collection and I think Pergamon and Poland - both bought as brand new releases - are more exciting affairs and got listened to so many times I've had to buy replacement LPs.
