37 and still undiagnosed. Was diagnosed as ADHD and bipolar as a kid. But i don't have mood swings, I have meltdowns. My parents didn't know any better and let's be honest they didn't try any harder than just getting me antidepressants even when i got those diagnoses. But from all the professionals i have spoken to about it with, we're pretty sure I'm autistic. Unfortunately with US healthcare being what it is i cant yet afford a doctor who can formally diagnose me.
@@lavenderoh this is really common. Girls were not diagnosed as Autistic before 1996 I believe, and the criteria for an Autism diagnosis in the 80s included cognitive impairment. So many girls were missed because of this. Then throw in the term Asperger’s and it gets more confusing because in North America it’s all just Autism (level 1, 2, 3) In Canada adults have to pay for an Autism diagnosis as well. This is why a self diagnosis in the autism community is accepted 💕💕💕💕
@@FairyLittle honestly it's not even about paying, I'm lucky we have insurance, but it's about finding a doctor interested in doctoring you 😂 it's horrible here. They want to prescribe pills rather than get to the root of anything. I'm a nurse myself so I'm very confident in my self diagnosis. I just wish I could find a therapist or something to talk things through with, my husband is amazing and always listens but he can't really help with advice on most things. I recently moved so I'm hoping to find someone in my new area, we'll see!
❤yeah there are so many different styles of knitting that can be helpful with different projects. Knowing how to knit English style (yarn in right hand) and continental style (yarn in left) can make projects like colour work much easier to manage the yarn 😊😊❤❤
This is very helpful, thank you ❤ English is not my first language so im always in trouble with knitting abbreviations. Two observations, your camera is out of focus and it seems the video is cut just a second too early
Garter stitch is “s” but sideways, stockinette or stocking stitch is a prettier “k” but again seen sideways, reverse stockinette looks the same as garter stitch, but when flipped, the stockinette stitch stares at you like: Ò👄Ó why did I get abandoned lol
I have a question for you: I've been teaching myself to do the continental method but I find that my right hand pointer finger gets sore from pushing the tip of the left hand needle against it to move the stitches along. Do you have a solution for that?
I would suggest you push the stitches from the bottom while holding around the tip if that is what you need to do. I find just adjusting the stitches on the cable makes a big difference for feeding the stitches to the tip. 💕
