After the departure of the first vocalist, this is a completely different band. I love to listen to the first albums again, but I can't accept their latest work
He's lip syncing though sadly. Just put any live video next to another and it's clear. Every line, every vibrato, ever single thing is the same. Either you have to be foolish enough to believe "he's just that good!" or you gotta face the reality of what's going on.
It's a pity that such a great band has these problems of feedback in the presentations, the drummer is very fast and the guitarists get lost a little, even Dani is complaining about the monthly audition, he wakes up!
He sounds fantastic here I do wonder if there is any truth to the first shows of him lip syncing because some of the videos showed compelling evidence that he was for certain songs
He might just have been sick at those first shows or something. It's not unheard of that bands use backing tracks for individual shows when their singers can't perform that evening. Especially since he had a lot to prove with his new band he may not have wanted to give a sub-par performance
@@Dynablade7 Ehh possible but it has been established that while he was in Gloryhammer he pushed to use backing tracks. Hopefully more videos come out because he sounds better than he has in a long time.
I have a couple of theories about the lip synching thing if you're interested. First, I think these songs are just seriously easier to sing. If you listen to something like the lead track off of the third Gloryhammer album its all over the place vocally, he has to go from growling and talking sections to shooting up to a controlled scream in like 2 seconds. None of these new songs have anything like that which may explain why he's able to pull these songs off easier live, they're just easier. Next is apparently his costume was really tight before lol. When he performed with Gloryhammer at Wacken he was out of breath pretty quickly, I thought it was just from all the running around but he's since said the costume constricted his breathing. Maybe the new outfit is helping out with that, it looks much roomier. Lastly, the most convincing piece of evidence that I've found for the lip synching thing is that clip where he apparently mouths wind incorrectly. I MIGHT have an answer for that, its might be his accent. He says wind like an English speaker would say fiery. He doesn't make the o shape with his lips for wind "wuh ind" he opens his mouth wider "wee ind". That's why some people said it looked like he actually said "fiery fire" instead of fiery wind". On the album he doesn't enunciate that part particularly hard either. He sort of goes "fasta dan de fiery weends". That or absolutely none of this matters and he lip synched the first couple shows. This one doesn't sound lip synched to me and neither do any of the new festival shows. The band is supposed to be at Wacken this year so hopefully that gets uploaded to RU-vid in good quality and we can really see what is going on.
