My channel is all about my ford bronco, Off Roading, and exploring Washington and camping every chance I get. On a rare occasion my wife, son, and my dogs will make it in to the videos, but should become more frequent in the summer.
AGRADEZCO TUS RESPUESTAS
In 2019 I rode my motorcycle from Virginia Beach to Moab, UT. It was my first road trip. I spent three days in Moab, and it wasn't enough. I think you just convinced me to buy a Bronco and do the next trip to Slick Rock Trail and Canyonlands NP. Thank you for the inspirational videos.
Thanks! That’s a really hard question to answer because there are so many variables. But when the fridge is on, it pulls between 50-60wHrs so how long a battery will last is very dependent on how often the compression kicks on and for how long. Ambient outside temperature, how much you have in the fridge, and the temps you set it all all impact how often the compressor kicks on. Hope that helps
I'm active Navy for 9 years now and just found your channel. Saw this video mentioned through another comment and had to check it out. I'm glad I did because mentally I'm struggling pretty bad. From hard pushing chain of commands that just don't care to the excessive workload that doesn't end. Was an avid speed guy so been through a ton of sport cars but decided that hobby honestly isn't in the best of my interest after years. So, I traded in my type R for a Ranger and decided to start getting back into going into the outdoors again. Some of the best times I've ever had were going on roads trips with my best friend and stopping to see the random places along the way. I'm rambling but your videos that I've gone through so far have helped quite a bit and I just want to say thank you for sharing your experience openly man. Makes me feel less alone. Hope to see you out there one day. I appreciate what you're doing and look forward to more videos.
I’m sorry to hear you’re struggle man. Someone command has such an impact on their military career and I don’t think a lot of people understand that. My first command was so bad I actively tried to get kicked out. Not proud of that but it’s true. My second command was INCREDIBLE though and I’m so glad I stuck around for that. But I hope you’re able to find some clarity and relief in getting back out in nature. And don’t be afraid to seek out counseling. It helped me a lot
ooh fancy pants rich mcgee over here...... I've got the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex 12k which is essentially a clone of the Warn but for about 1/3 the cost...
warn has been making winches for a long time and is a vital part of recovery especially as a solo traveler. I’ve heard good things about the badlands, but Warn has a long reputation of working when you need it, so yeah, I spent the extra money
Congratulations, mate. Now let's start thinking about 37s to run harder trails which would be nice to drive in a 37s instead of 35s. In my humble opinion.
Nice looking bumper, I thought about going with that one but ended up going with the Fab Fours Premium Winch Bumper as it seemed more streamline to me. I also had to move the ACC and didn't like the performance using the most common relocation bracket out there that moved it to the upper driver's side of the grill, it didn't work consistently. I ended up making my own bracket moving it towards the center lower part of the grill and it works perfectly. Looking forward to seeing what lift kit you end up going with.
Something else to complain about… how about you show the product and not yourself? You legit don’t have a shot of the bumper without your face in front of it.✌️
Like you, I didn’t like the bumpers on the market. I’m liking this one! And all the electronics work with it! I’m curious to see how the cruise control will work.
Did they add back wireless capability to the 10s by default? My 10s only came with a wired remote because of a recall but Warn did give a rebate for $100 to get a Bluetooth module so that it can be controlled with my phone.
Any chance for a view from the front camera? Is it blocked by the bar or control head? Great videos. I really appreciate the work you put in color correcting your videos.
Thanks! I think you’re the first person that has commented on my color grading which is a freakin process lol so thanks! I am going to Tahuya tomorrow for some off-roading and I will try to remember to include a front camera shot in that video
@@OFFTHEGRIND there is a sailing channel called Gone with the Wynn's who does amazing color correction as well. You two guys are my favorites for the technical side of video editing. Always great work.
you probably have seen it by now, but the drivers side is way lower than passenger side on the bumper. Its not sitting square. You can easily see from the gap between the fender and the bumper at the end of the vid when you're sitting in front.
@@OFFTHEGRIND I only looked cause I did the same when reinstalling my modular bumper after my winch install... Didn't notice for a while! Love the channel.
I just found your channel. This one is absolutely great Bronco and Oregon content. A year ago my employer sent me to Bend for Safety training. I fell in love with the area and took a day to see Multnomah Falls and then meet up with an old friend in Oregon City. The areas I saw from my drive grabbed me with their beauty and novelty and vibrant soul. The New Hampshire boy can't wait to get back out there and get off the grid...and off the grind.
Thank you so much! Yeah Oregon is incredible and I’m glad you got the opportunity to explore it a little while you were there. Definitely have to make it back there when you can
@OFFTHEGRIND aaaaah!? Hence, the cover pic of the video! Cool! GTG! Please do a follow up after you have used it for a while. My wife is looking to get a bumper winch combo on her Bronco; so we're paying attention to what you're up to. Good content! Keep it up. We enjoy your channel!
Great install, I installed the exact same bumper as a solo install myself, but I went with the Warn Zeno 12-S and Rigid Amber fogs, love my bumper. I did the ACC Relocation bracket which was a bigger pain for me than the bumper. Was not happy in cutting the shutters behind the grill option. And I also had a issues with my parking sensors because I damaged a few of them when taking them out, I ordered some new ones and works except for the two middle sensors, in Texas we have to have a front license plate and the sensors are detecting the backside of my plate. So for now I took it off till I can flip the license plate bracket upside down so the plate will sit lower than the sensors and should fix my issue.
So the ACC sensor is pretty hidden? This bumper/winch is probably the best I've seen but the relocation of front cameras, ACC sensors, and parking sensors gives me heartaches.
@@LatinoComedian true my front camera is total garbage right now till I get the relocation bracket to move it to the front of the winch which sits right on top of the fairlead, which what pics I’ve seen I don’t like the way it looks, kind of looks like a weird alien eye at the front of your bronco. Consider moving it to the bullbar and just cut a hole big enough for it to fit and wire the harness down into the tube out the bottom.. that’s if it is even possible. As for the ACC relocation bracket I used one by Turn Off-road and it took longer to install than the bumper, mine works about 95% of the time, occasionally I’ll be doing 75 on the toll road and I’ll be coming up on someone and it’s like are you going to ram them and I’ll have to tap on the brakes, but most of the time it will slow down and match their speed. So I trust it but trust it with my foot hovering over the brake.
I almost went with rigid fogs. They fill the fog pocket really well. But yeah the parking sensors are a pain. Honestly I want to just disable them cause I hate them anyways. The ACC is something I love though. Still haven’t got it relocated but I will. Someone else said they had to get their ACC and parking sensors recalibrated and then it worked great
@@OFFTHEGRIND I’ll have to check out about getting them recalibrated and see if that helps. And I was mistaken, I only damaged the plastic housing that the sensors fit in, so I ordered some new housing for the sensors, my issue was because they were damaged the sensors were facing down in a angle towards the road making my system thinking I was about to have a wreck. Can’t wait to see you do more mods on your Bronco. This past weekend I just installed the new KC Titan lightbar along with the Auxbeam switch panel due to that KC’s new lightbar is to powerful for the factory Aux switches. Love it so far, but definitely some whistling noise but I can live with it. Do you have a Gram account?
I like that bumper. I am at the suspension and tire stage on my Bronco, too. What did you decide to do? I had to get the tailgate tire carrier from Smittybilt. They have the strongest setup out there. You're gonna want to do that. Hurry though, they are discontinuing it. If you have trouble finding one, let me know, and I can help. I am going with Mickey Thompson MTs and the Falcon coilovers. I look forward to seeing what you're doing.
When I added a winch, and moved the sensors, I had to take it to the dealer to have it recalibrate. I thought the same as you that I had damaged or done something wrong. But just a recalibration. I would wait until you move the radar head. Get it all done at once.
Dude great install but get rid of the hook and the little red flag, get a factor 55 hook and reel it all the way in leaving a foot of rope to the sun and environment is just for show. Enjoy your post!
Looks good, and that was waaaaaaay easier to install than my arb summit bumper :) And doing a lot of solo overlanding/rockcrawling myself.. the winch is a nice bit of security. I've been wondering when you'd get around to the suspension... looking forward to the video. Parking sensors.. mine have been a bit temperamental after my bumper installs as well. You probably already know this, but they're orientation sensitive .. like the plug ends need to be facing inward I believe (so the two driver side pointing to the passenger side and two passenger side pointing to the driver side).. and that isn't in all of the instructions. And even when you have them generally pointed the right way, there's some wiggle room to get it right. Even so.. still fiddling with the sensors whenever it annoys me enough.
I’ve actually tried changes the orientation of the problem sensor and it hasn’t worked. I think it needs to be calibrated. Which is pretty annoying but it is what it is
Great video, I bought a fab fours (same company as Warn) bumper for the Tundra and happy with it as well. The Bronco really looks good. You know this, but recheck those torques after a few hundred miles. Like you, I am doing a suspension upgrade this week. I just ordered the Ironman4x4 suspension. I really like the "what to do" and "what not to do" in videos, I suspect a lot of people go back and redo because we failed to read the directions......
Thanks man. Yeah warn bought Fab Four like last year I think right? Maybe longer ago but it was still pretty recent. I’ve heard a lot of good about the Ironman kits. I’m sure you’ll love it!
David it's a simple on off switch ( available on Amazon). The winch will wire into switch then to battery. Right now you have a live 12 volt source at the winch in a front end accident would most likely short out causing a short and possible fire.
