Still a new channel so I don't really know what my content will be focused on yet but for the time being I'll be talking about a wide variety of games. I am currently on hiatus because I am finishing up grad school but hope to have some more content up in February.
its a bigger issue than that there should be a new gears game. What I mean by that is some studio should have made something new and inventive. not some new story where Marcus is an old man.
Ahh yes and JD got turned into a d-bag. No not really if you didn't notice after Carmine's death he saw that being a loose cannon wasn't ideal anymore and by following orders he thinks it will keep people from getting killed. JD is far from being like Marcus who followed orders to the letter besides the time he wanted to save his dad instead of following his orders and let's be honest who's the real problem of Gears of war 5 that most people agree is the problem with the story also the grimdark vibes from the original trilogy is gone that totally wasn't obvious factor everyone loved about the games. Katie: "this isn't about you it's about me!" "We know!"
I agree they story needs to be rewritten in a reboot or something because the inly reason why we buy this bullshit is because we are holding on to marcus sam clay carmine baird and cole train and bring back older gears keagan Hoffman the only reason why I bought gears 4 and 5 was because of the old gang but sadly they will kill them off by teasing marcus fate and cole trains fate yet we get the unexpected Jack doing a heroic dom moment I cried at that point even if jack was a new improved jack he was OG so we lose jack felt like a dom moment Never fought it will end this this hu baird Bairds voice break in sadness the og gears are what keeps this gears from totalling flopping but I agree the colour palette needs to be toned a few new characters I only liked is lizzy sad what happens to her and fahz being like a sarcastic baird so the only character they got right was fahz the emotional moment og fahz realising del is dead bro I feel for fahz more than than JD
Pretty sure...kait was just a fuckin self insert for a woke SJW Liberal "WOMEN R JUS AS GUD AS MEN" type to feel better about themselves. Jd coulda been better if he had more simmilarities and became a better sucsessor to marcus.
James kind of grew on me overtime. I think they kinda ruined his vibe in 5, hard to not like someone who cares about Marcus. When you go through all the games I really wanna get him back in 4. Making him bald was lame
I feel like they could have done more with Kait and she and many of the new generation of Gears could have been likable if they had written them VERY VERY, differently from how we see them in the games and NOT kill them off in anticlimactic ways. Kait herself could have acted more badass while still getting herself beaten and taught humility throughout her growth instead of arrogantly believing she was important all the time. If they wanted to still make her say the whole "It's about me!" thing, they should have followed up with a reality check like "Oh shit, it was NEVER about me. I need to make sacrifices like everyone else." And let everyone work together for something instead of all the unneeded family drama. Marcus and Dom had drama but it was very minor and easily resolved to emphasize their bond as brothers in arms. The new Gears feel like watching them bicker like a family movie.
Looks like The Coalition may have been listening. 😁 One other thing that should be mentioned about the OG character's is that they looked and sounded like they lived through some dark shit.
Forcing political agendas into various aspects of a game is what ruined this sequel’s story. It’s the most disappointing story I’ve ever experienced in a video game.
Or they could have done a duel campaign. Gears redemption for JD, action Horror for kait. Instead of trying to fake being a hardass. Show the horror of her locast legacy.
They dont suck thou. There more realistic if anything. Marcus just silently moving on from half the shit that he witnessed was so unrealistic for me. Tai kills himself and hes just like "welp, better grab his tags and move along" Carmine? "Oh no! Anyways" The newer gen actually react and look a bit more realistic. Where TF these old gens getting all that protein to maintain arnold levels of Physic? In an apocalyptic event?
No she is unconvincing. Being a good voice actress doesn’t mean you’re gonna deliver a good performance each time. Granted it’s not her fault since the character it’s self was terrible
My biggest problem with JD is he never did anything wrong maybe putting himself and everybody else in danger with the hammer of dawn rocket at the beginning of gears 5 but the protests turned into a violent riot after they used fire bombs and as fuaz says one of them even broke his nose. And even calling the hammer of dawn on himself was justified in the end they were outnumbered and out gunned they set him up to be a character with some depth just to slide everything under the rug for headach girl and they probably killed him instead of del which is kinda some bs.
Hell i thought jd was tiny feminine and gay in gears 4 This game series is about exagerated buffy and grumpy bickering bros. Game should be dark and mature with non stop action. Not a colofull sightseeing or a openworld amusment park riding a skiff with 2 unlikable femenine charachters with cringe dialog. Its impossible to imerse myself and to play as a female in gear of war universe does NOT feel badass. Its wimpy and cringy
I Actually liked 4 kinda and started liking playing as JD, I actually had hope for 5, boy was I wrong, Kait and the story is so trash I cant even play it anymore lol
