Thank you, what a lovely story. Two of those featured in this film are my Aunt and Uncle, Deeny Rodriguez Morales and Robert Rodriguez. Uncle Robert and Uncle Jay have passed on now, but it was nice to see them in the film, I am glad they took part in this film.
This great and all. All these people are well known family friends, colleagues & some former teachers of my family. But talk of the “Hispanic” situation is lacking. My father, Jose A Arambula was the the very first “Hispanic” student ever to attend Roynan. This was a very very big deal in the community at the time. He went on to work for BSUD as a career. As janitor, bus driver and up the ranks to administration. He is still alive, living in La Verne and really should’ve been mentioned in this clip. I wish I could show it to his granddaughter who proudly attends Roynan now but I know she would ask “what about grandpa? Please pay tribute to him while he is still on this earth to appreciate it. He’s nearly 90 & going strong. He was a football, basketball & baseball player who brought much honor & glory to the school. Handsome too! You really missed out by not highlighting him here. He even came back to BSUD after Army & Air-force, turning down lifetime career offered to him to serve his community. Someone please showcase your first & one of the best Hispanic students ever please! I love you dad, the most humble and honorable man I’ve ever known.

I produced this video for the city of La Verne over 20 years ago. Each new resident was given a DVD copy of this city overview when they signed up for services. It pleases me to see that the values of this small town are still in place. My wife Charlotte and I are proud to call La Verne our home.
